ISIS Crucifies, Hacks Off Limbs of Spy in Accordance with Koran in Barbaric Online Video

CrucifixionThe barbaric Islamic group ISIS, which identifies itself as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, released a disturbing new video online this week, this time showing a man deemed a spy being crucified and having his limbs hacked off with knives.

The four-minute video, entitled “The Deterring of Spies I,” features the alleged confession of an Iraqi man who had been accused of spying on the Islamic terror group with the Kurds. A quote from the Koran then appears.

“The penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger … is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land,” it reads.

The video footage soon shows the man, dressed in an orange jumpsuit, hung upon a wooden pole with his arms outstretched like Christ.

An unmasked ISIS official then hacks off the man’s right hand and left foot with a hunting knife as he screams out in pain.

“We destroy what is despicable and haughty, in monstrosity his world has become agitated,” a song plays in Arabic during the video, according to the Daily Mail.

As the video is numbered as the first in a series, there are concerns that other captives will likewise be killed.

The footage comes a week after a prisoner was shown having to dig his own grave, and two months after 30 Ethiopians were videotaped as they were beheaded by the terrorist organization.

As previously reported, the video released in April of the beheadings featured a masked ISIS fighter brandishing a gun who declared that Christians must either convert to Islam or pay a special tax, known as jizya, as outlined in Koran. For those who refuse, “we owe nothing except the edge of the sword,” he threatened.

“Muslim blood shed under the hands of your religions is not cheap,” the fighter stated. “To the nation of the cross, we are now back again.”

Footage then showed two groups of Ethiopians, identified as “followers of the cross,” being lined up and marched to their death. The men, all dressed in jumpsuits—one group in orange and the other black—were forced to their knees while they waited to die. The first group was beheaded with a long knife, and their heads were placed on top of their bodies. The second group was shot execution style in the head.

The footage is similar to another horrifying video released in February where 21 Egyptians were marched to their death and beheaded.

“All crusaders: safety for you will be only wishes, especially if you are fighting us all together,” a masked ISIS fighter declared. “The sea you have hidden Sheikh Osama Bin Laden’s body in, we swear to Allah we will mix it with your blood.”

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that ISIS had kidnapped 86 Eritrean refugees from Libya, the majority of whom are believed to be Christians or of other non-Muslim religious beliefs.

The refugees were reportedly seized as they were traveling by truck to Tripoli in their quest to reach Europe. Meron Estefanos, the co-founder of the International Commission on Eritrean Refugees, said that ISIS began dividing those aboard the truck by religion, and some lied in order to save their lives.

“IS militants asked everyone who is Muslim or not and everybody started saying they are Muslims,” she told the International Business Times.

But the Islamic jihadists then quizzed those who said that they were Muslim to see if they could quote from the Koran.

“[Y]ou have to know the Koran, and they didn’t,” she said.
