False Teacher and Reality Show ‘Preacher’ Le’Andria Johnson Continues to Defend Use of Profanity

Johnson-compressedATLANTA — A Grammy Award-winning gospel singer who leads a purported church in the Atlanta area, and who came under fire in September for using profanity and drinking on her live Periscope account, is continuing to use profanity purposefully—this time on her Twitter account.

As previously reported, Le’Andria Johnson of Imperfect People Changing (I.P.C.) Ministries is one of five ministers who will be featured on the upcoming reality show series “Preachers of Atlanta” on the Oxygen Network. Johnson was named Billboard’s number one female gospel artist in 2012, and won best gospel/contemporary Christian music performance at the 2011 Grammy Awards for her debut single, “Jesus.”

“I take it to the streets. I pass out cigarettes and condoms,” she states in a preview of the series. “I do all of that, but at the end of the day, when God tells me to do something, I do it.”

Johnson first generated controversy about the practice in 2013, which she claimed was a way to witness to the lost, when a video surfaced of Johnson approaching a homeless man and offering him a cigarette while lighting one for herself.

In September, Johnson again was the center of controversy when she drank tequila and used profanity on Periscope’s live video stream. She appeared on a local Christian radio station to defend her actions, which she said were done on purpose to allow people to see her life outside of the pulpit.

Despite numerous Scriptural warnings, such as in James 1:26, which cites that a “man’s religion is vain” if he “bridleth not his tongue,” as well as Ephesians 4:29, which states,”[l]et no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers,” Johnson says that everyone uses profanity, affirming her belief that people just need to be true to who the are — “imperfect”.

“Drinking and saying a few little words on Periscope—who don’t cuss?” Johnson remarked. “Who don’t cuss out there in the church world? I just want to know if there’s any pastors and bishops and missionaries and saints and friends out there that don’t cuss.”

  • Connect with Christian News

She became visibly annoyed at those who called the radio station to state that she was not setting a good example for her congregation and followers. Johnson said that she was not “going to apologize for being [herself].”

“I drink, yes. To be drunken, I know that’s a sin. But I’m not doing this every day. I’m not doing this back to back,” she stated. “I wouldn’t want a pastor who shows me he or she is walking that perfect scale all the time. I’m not condoning anything that I’m doing but I’m going to fall, I’m going to make some mistakes.”

“At the end of the day, religious people are babies. They’re wolves,” Johnson remarked. “They need to be taught. They’re not where I am right now.”

Last week, two months after the incident, Johnson posted profanity on her Twitter page, writing “Cheers to kissing’s nobody’s [expletive].”

“[T]he women has no shame or morals,” one commenter wrote.

“Please don’t represent yourself in this matter. You are responsible for the souls that are lost because of your example as a WOG (woman of God),” another stated.

Johnson’s father, Gregory Johnson, leads HQ Ministries in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

She’s not a Christian. Let her live her heathen ways. God will deal with her if she doesn’t repent and turn to Him.

“I do all of that, but at the end of the day, when God tells me to do something, I do it.”

Well, we know what [g]od is pulling her strings, and it’s not the one she’ll be facing on Judgment day.

“But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.”

    James 3:8-12

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
    1 Peter 1:13-16

1 John 2:19 (NASB) They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.

      • wandakate

JESUS did say, “You’re either for me or you’re against me”. We can’t be one way one day of the week and another all the other days.
She’s deceiving herself big time. GOD has her number, judgment day is coming. She is deceiving the people as well, like when the blind lead the blind and they both fall into a ditch.

  • TheBBP

Her shtick is to appeal to folks who want to feel holy on Sundays but not have to be accountable at any other time. In this sense she is good at business because lots of folks want to believe that their sin isn’t that bad. However, she is a heretical teacher and will answer a devastating judgement for leading so many astray.

    • afchief

      She is a liar!

    • wandakate

JESUS said, we will know them by their fruits. Good works and deeds and actions product GOOD fruit. Bad works and deed and actions product BAD fruit.
JESUS said, we are to be HOLY! We are to be in the world, but NOT of the world. She wants to have her cake and eat it too. She is FAKE, she’s in this for the power and the status and the $$$$$.
I pity those souls that are following this woman, GOD have mercy on them and lead them out of there and into something more real…

  • Mary Thompson

She said show me someone, that’s saved, and don’t Cuss.I don’t.I love your singing, but this is RIDICULOUS!!

    • wandakate

I don’t even know who she is, never heard of her before or her singing. but the ridiculous part I’ll go along with. She is lost, and deceiving those who listen to her.

  • FoJC_Forever

People focus on words they have deemed “cuss words”, but attitude is just as important. I talk to people who don’t use the taboo “cuss words”, but their attitude is no different than the people who do use them. Self-righteous people use the “cuss word” list to make themselves look good, but they are no different than most of the people who do use them.

If you’re “telling someone off”, it doesn’t matter what words you’re using, you’ve already crossed the line with the desire and act of “telling them off”. Just being nice doesn’t matter either. I see people who act nice, but they’re plotting and scheming to do others wrong, then justify it by claiming their victims “deserve it”.

I’m certain this woman isn’t called by God to do what she is doing in His name. However, not all of the people who are against her are any better, and they’re not called by God either. Fake Christians have been fighting with one another for centuries.

    • TheBBP

You are totally on to something there. The Bible does not give us a list of words that we cannot say, but what is your testimony like if you are running around cussing?

      • FoJC_Forever

I’m not advocating “cussing”, but highlighting the thing about it that is most important.

“Witnessing” is solely dependent on the Holy Spirit using a person who is following Jesus to convey whatever message God has for that individual at that given time. Most people use the term to describe their personal reputation – what others think of them. The focus is supposed to be on Jesus. Those who know Him point others to Him, not to themselves. While this doesn’t excuse our individual behavior, it does clarify that we aren’t the Savior nor any better than those who have yet to come to know Jesus. Fake Christianity, which has been around for hundreds of years, draws attention to self, rather than Jesus.

        • wandakate

You’re reminding me of our holidays, our worldly holidays and our traditions. JESUS we are told was also supposed to be the reason for Easter and Christmas, yet Easter was Passover and CHRIST didn’t die on a Friday and rise up before dawn on a Sunday, and neither was He born in December but in September at the fall feast of the LORD…So, that’s all fake too.
It’s more than just people who are phony and fake, even our traditional holidays are pagan/heathen celebrations…
We just follow the leaders, whoever they may be. From the Emperor Constantine all the way to this women, just show us the fun and tell us whatever, well believe it. How sad!

    • wandakate

LOTS of hypocrites out there in the churches, lots of fake Christians. Lots of wolves in sheep’s clothing…they’re there to be entertained, they’re there to be seen, and to network and make their contacts. They are warming the pews and listening to her ranting on and on.
They’re there to socialize and have fun in the programs and sip coffee and eat donuts at the social bar and even shop in the book store and buy something.
When they leave they will go about their business, go out to eat, go shopping for groceries, go home and mow the grass, clean house and do their laundry, go to a flea market or whatever… SOOOOO, need I say more? Just tell us what our itching ears want to hear and then leave us alone.
I think this is the scene that we will see today in many churches everywhere, not just in Atlanta, Ga.

      • FoJC_Forever

Christians can get too caught up in beholding the hypocrisy and falsehood of others that they quit looking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of Faith. It’s subtle, sometimes, but the Devil uses fake religion to get the followers of Jesus, Christians, those who know and love the LORD, off course by diverting attention to his deceivers. Like the worldly saying, ‘any publicity is good publicity’, the Spirit of the False Light, the Devil, uses false religion and false tradition to stir up division and controversy, emotion and rant.

        Follow Jesus, find Wisdom.

        • wandakate

This is very very true, and unfortunately this is exactly what is happening to most of them. They are caught up in all the worldly programs and fun stuff and have basically forgotten why they are even in church at all.
It’s supposed to be about JESUS, supposed to be reverent and a tad quieter, supposed to be about our worship, as JESUS did say, “My FATHER’s house is to be called a house of PRAYER, and you have turned it into a den of thieves”. Talking to the ones who were at the temple selling things (like some churches do today).
He didn’t want that. So, yes satan has infiltrated the churches and it just gets worse and worse as time goes on.

        • wandakate

Wisdom comes from above. Knowledge and common sense do also. In order for people to realize who’s real and who’s not real they need the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT. We must have that spiritual re-birth. We must follow GOD and not man. Man will fail you, but GOD will never fail you.
We need to listen up and obey the word. We need to obey especially the Moral Laws which are still relevant, our 10 Commandments. They were NOT done away with at the cross, they are NOT obsolete, and they are STILL relevant today just as they were the day GOD wrote them on 2 tablets of stone and presented them to the people.
They were to be with us for a thousand generations, and it hasn’t been that long yet.
ALL of those other 600+ laws are NOT needed anymore
however the Big 10 never went away. Now I know people say they aren’t relevant but JESUS never said that. He said that He had NOT come to abolish the laws but to fulfill them. He intended to magnify them. The only ones that became obsolete were the
          .sacrificial laws
          .common laws
          .ceremonial laws
          .dietary laws
Our MORAL LAWS still stand. Why do you think they are removing the 10 Commandments from public places, partly b/c the Bible tells us that they will abandon GOD in these last days. They will put Him on the back burner or remove Him altogether.
Obama told us that this is no longer a Christian nation. People believed him.

          • FoJC_Forever

This has never been a Christian nation. Obama didn’t come up with this reality. The Devil is very accomplished at using someone who does know the Truth to declare a Truth, so that people will reject the Truth. The Christian nation is comprised – only – of those who know and love the Son of God, Jesus (the) Christ.

You’re preaching to the wrong person. Be led by the Holy Spirit and gain Discernment, so that you don’t waste your time.

            Follow Jesus, find Truth.

          • wandakate

This isn’t written to just YOU…I’m not preaching to just YOU! I assume that everyone who comments here or read this blog will read what people write. Just b/c it’s addressed to you, doesn’t mean you’re the only one reading it. Therefore, I do not consider it preaching to the wrong person. I am led by the HOLY SPIRIT and already have discernment, so I’m not considering what I wrote to be a waste of time, b/c I have followed the leading of the HS, and that is why I did what I did so that others will know as well what I had to say, that is inspired by the HS. Be blessed!

  • bowie1

It’s one thing to swear in a moment of frustration but it is quite different when it is deliberate even more so as a teacher.

  • sandra-paquette-

You know can’t get away from scripture’s – “Ye, shall know them by their fruits” They really don’t get it. Nothing more than looking for excuses to live as they please. It has nothing to do with Religion.

  • notearsinheaven

iF we sin we have an advocate with the Father. Jesus. BUT we do not need to live in the sin pit and pray and cry to Jesus while living in the mud.

  • Jason Traweek

What a nitwit!By the way I do NOT cuss…so here is one person.I find it to be a lack of iq when someone lives daily cussing.

    • wandakate

One things for sure, she has a problem. Buying cigarettes and condoms and bragging about giving them out on the street and lighting one up herself and they allow her to be a pastor in a church. OH my…what is this world coming to. You might as well have satan at the pulpit.

  • Mike Laborde

All of us fail God. But I hope , not on purpose. She really needs to become born again.

  • Pianogirl

In answer to her question; There are plenty of ministers and Christians who don’t curse or drink. My husband is a pastor and we don’t do either.

    • WorldGoneCrazy

Amen! I used to blaspheme something awful as an atheist, and the Lord Jesus cured me of it practically immediately upon conversion. No desire whatsoever to curse anymore. It is a major sin to blaspheme the Lord.

      • wandakate

aaaaahhhhhh! PTL for you have seen the light. Just another modern day miracle. Cussing, and smoking, drinking, drugs, pornography, wrongful sex outside of marriage, fornication and homosexuality ALL sins BIG TIME…We are suppose to take care of our bodies, as they are our temple. We were bought with a price, the price of His precious blood. So kudos for you for giving up that sin and confessing it, repenting of it and forsaking it…Proud of you.

  • Gael Tino

Same ol same ol….#1 She is NOT converted unto Christ.
#2 She is a wolf fleecing the flock
#3 Women are not to preach/teach men.
#4 So what else is new? Another heretic getting rich of ignorant “followers”.

    • wandakate

Taking the words out of my mouth. If her congregation is stupid or ignorant enough to put up with her knowing how and what she does, then it’s the blind leading the blind, and they’re all gonna fall into the ditch.
Her god is satan, it’s not the GOD of heaven and earth and the FATHER of JESUS CHRIST…People are really pitiful, they are so deceived and brainwashed, such a shame. Satan has blinded their eyes to the truth.

  • acontraryview

“Johnson posted profanity on her Twitter page, writing “Cheers to kissing’s nobody’s [expletive].””

The expletive in question appears quite frequently in the Bible.

    • Nidalap

Unless she’s referring to a donkey, it’s a different definition. You already knew that though! (^_^)

      • acontraryview

Since I haven’t spoken to her, I cannot say with certainty what she was referring to. Although it does seem reasonable to say: “Cheers to kissing nobody’s donkey”. I certainly wouldn’t want to kiss a donkey.

Either way, I certainly wouldn’t say that the other meaning for that word would be an “expletive”.

        • Nidalap

an interjectory word or expression, frequently profane; an exclamatory oath.

Yep. It fits the definition! (^_^)

          • acontraryview

“Profane: relating or devoted to that which is not sacred or biblical; secular rather than religious.”

            Most words are profane.

          • Nidalap

            5. common or vulgar. (^_^)

    • wandakate

DUD!!! IT does appear, and it’s not a persons rear end, it was an animal. I think for one place it’s under the Thou Shalt Not Covet Commandment. We are not to covet the neighbors goods, nor his OX, or his ASS, or anything that is thou neighbors. It was only an animal…

      • Naoma Hammers

absolutely correct, the animal is referred to in many places in the Bible, including when Jesus rode through Jerusalem upon on the colt of an ass.

    • Naoma Hammers

Yes it does, however it is used as it was meant to be used. An expletive, replaces prayer, in times of trouble, and anger. The Bible says be angry and sin not. It also says pray without ceasing how can you be praying if you are swearing? God said be ye Holy for I am Holy. That indicates to me that we are to take on the nature of God. I cannot imagine God swearing, just cannot!

  • acontraryview

Other than the Biblical prohibition on taking the Lord’s name in vain, where in the Bible is a list of “profane” words?

  • L Mark Thomas

She said she is living “her” life…. her “fans” are gonna see her…. and it’s ok to be you…. We are not our own my dear sister. Christ didn’t die for you to go lower his standards. Be ye Holy as He is holy, doesn’t remove your imperfections but defines and refines your motives tö want tö be like him, Ppl are ministered tö not by you showcasing imperfection but by you pressing towards Gods standards. But hey, seen as you are so sound in the fact that all you do in leading others are in line with your relationship with God then you will have yo answer for yourself. With all ur explanations you have no remorse regret or repentance for you actions. Oh maybe youll do it by your bedside but publicly mislead many.

  • Bill Scudder

She say’s “when God tells me to do something, I do it.”. God is not telling her to do those things. the devil is.

  • Naoma Hammers

Jesus told the Pharisee that they erred not knowing the Word, Le’Andria Johnson should read all that the Word says regarding the words of our mouth. (Luke 6:45 [KJV])
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. Now in response to her assertion that all Christians use profanity, I do neither, and I know may others like myself. I believe she has passed judgment on others, to justify her own, also forbidden by the Lord.

    • wandakate

Well realize the misery loves company. She must realize she’s in the wrong, and in the mud, so she’s just trying to pull others down there with her, so she won’t feel so bad about it herself. Misery truly does want company…

      • Naoma Hammers

Sin always loves company because it is Satan who tempted the sinner, and who uses the sinner to tempt others.

        • wandakate

Correct, and we all know (or should know) that satan is the father of all lies. He came as the tempter. He tempted Eve in the garden. He loves to tempt us and get us on the wrong path, and as you say then we tempt others and get them on the wrong path, and it becomes a vicious circle indeed.
He (satan) is on a war path. He came to kill, steal and destroy souls (people) and he’s going to continue to do that until the end of time.
Many are deceived today b/c of him and his evil. And he has 1/3 of the demons with him helping him. They used to all be Angels, until they were dismissed from the heavenly rheum.
BEWARE-RED FLAG WARNING…Satan is alive and well on planet earth.
Life is simply a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil. A spiritual battle, that will culminate in our eternity to heaven or hell.

          • Naoma Hammers

Yes! all you say is correct, it is the end of the end times, and there is no one who is more aware of that fact then Satan, and he is busy with his purpose, which is to kill steal and destroy. However we have the victory in Christ Jesus, the one thing you can be sure of is that Satan will not cross the bloodline of Jesus, so if we stay covered in the shed blood of Jesus, we are able to resist him. the scripture says resist him and he will flee.

          • wandakate

Rebuke the devil and he will flee from thee…that is correct.
He (satan) loses in the end. GOD has it all under control. Many people do not believe in GOD at all, many don’t believe He has it all under His control, but ultimately GOD is in control and will set the situation right at the 7th Trumpet. That is Revelation 11:15-19. If you read that Naoma, you will see that this is where JESUS takes possession of this evil world away from satan, the graves will be opened at that time and even the Ark of the Covenant (testimony) will be seen at that time.
That is the appearing of JESUS to get the saints from their graves and from the earth. That is the same event as the 1st resurrection and is also the same as what people call the “rapture” or the “catching away” of the saints, that is it.
All happening right at the 7th trumpet, but just before the wrath of GOD is poured out onto the unrepentant sinners.
The church IS NOT appointed to the wrath of GOD, therefore we are out of here just before the bowl judgments of Revelation. We are NOT out of here before that, thus no Pre-trib rapture. It’s going to be according to Revelation a Pre-Wrath rapture. It’s going to happen just before the wrath of GOD.

I knew from day 1 on Sunday Best show
Leandria Johnson wasn’t a “FAKE”. You could see it in her eyes. Eyes don’t lie & she is keeping it real 100%
Since y’all are throwing “FAKE” around so loosely, let’s start with y’all FAKE crooked “JIM JONES” pastors up in the pulpit robbing the poor, molesting kids, drinking, partying, in the closet, & spreading HIV throughout the congregation.
    I won’t say no names but…
    Bishop Eddie Long?
    Creflo & Taffi Dollar?
    TD Jakes?
    Benny Hinn?
    Pat Robertson?
    Juanita Bynum?
    Joyce Meyers?
    The Falwells?
    Billy Graham?
Joel Olsteen? his eyes spook me for some reason
    The Pope?

    • wandakate

Your list is good however I’m not convinced about Billy Graham or his son Franklin. Why, may I asked did you include him on your list?…Here are a few more to consider. Now realize people are supporting these ministers, these tv preachers…they believe in them, they listen to their words and messages. They have NO discernment, no wisdom, and apparently no knowledge or common sense. Satan has them blinded to the truth of the word, just as the scriptures said he would. Add these to your own list, (these are from YOUTUBE).
      Leroy Thompson
Kenneth Copeland (met recently with the Pope)
      Jesse Duplantis
Rick Warren (met recently with the Pope)

      Paula White
      Jeff Prince
      John Hagee
James Robison (met recently with the Pope).
Keep in mind these are not my list of False Prophets, but I copied this from the YouTube list several months ago.

I urge all that read this, if you want to make correct statement on a subject, in order to be correct is to at least research the subject and read the material pertaining to the subject, and in this case PRAY for understanding, But don’t make comments on hearsay.
