Australian State Legalizes Assisted Suicide, Euthanasia

(Christian Institute) The Australian state of Victoria has legalised assisted suicide and voluntary euthanasia.

The bill to legalize assisted suicide passed by just four votes in the upper house of Victoria’s parliament.

The law will come into force next year and apply to terminally ill people with an estimated life expectancy of six months.

The move comes 22 years after the Northern Territory enacted the world’s first assisted suicide law in 1995. The Australian Parliament overturned the law just two years later.

    I pray you never have to face a painful terminal illness, but if you do I want the choice on how to proceed to be YOURS, whatever that choice may be.

    We have the right to determine our own destiny.

      Why should someone with a terminal illness, perhaps in pain, struggling to breath, covered in sores (have you ever spent a couple of weeks in bed?) not have an assisted, peaceful end? Why does this cheapen life?

    Victoria where I live is now the death state of Australia. Kill them before they are born and kill them when they are no longer any use.
