Christian Beheaded By Islamists in Somalia for Following ‘Foreign Religion of Christianity’

A 25-year-old Christian man was recently beheaded by Islamists in the country of Somalia after being accused of serving as a spy and being an adherent to the “foreign religion of Christianity.”

According to Morning Star News, Farhan Haji Mose of Barawa had been watched by members of the Islamic group Al Shabaab for approximately six months after they believed that he had been involved in suspicious activity. Mose worked in the cosmetic industry and took a trip to Kenya for a time last year on business travel.

Kenya, a prominently Christian African country, was the place where Mose first came to faith in Christ in 2010.

After returning from business work in Kenya, he settled back down in Somalia, a country which is nearly 100 percent Muslim, except for a small Christian remnant that is said to worship underground.

Reports outline that a crowd gathered as Mose was led away by his executioners.

“His body was split into two, then carried away, only to be dumped near the beach of Barawa City,” Morning Star News relayed from eyewitnesses.

“I am saddened by the death of my friend Mose,” another man lamented.

Mose’s family has not yet come forward to retrieve the body out of fear that they will be targeted next.

Mose is the fourth Christian to have been killed in the country since September.
