Brit Hume: Planned Parenthood Videos Have ‘Laid Bare the Brutal Nature of Abortion’

HumeA nationally-recognized political commentator says that regardless of whether or not Planned Parenthood is profiting from the organs of the babies killed at its facilities, the videos released about the matter have helped to expose and delineate the bloody brutality that is abortion.

“Whatever comes of the revelations about Planned Parenthood and its trafficking of fetal body parts, those revelations will have achieved on thing: They have parted the veil of antiseptic tidiness behind which the abortion industry has so long operated,” Brit Hume stated during a recent airing of Fox’s Special Report with Bret Baier.

“The sight of a senior Planned Parenthood official—and a doctor to boot—discussing the market for fetal body parts in between bites of salad and sips of wine was stomach turning. That’s because it laid bare the brutal nature of abortion,” he said.

Hume, a born-again Christian who lost his son to suicide in 1998, then outlined in plain terms that abortion is the murder of a living child.

“Let’s be blunt. Abortion involves the extraction and killing of a human life, which within a couple of weeks of pregnancy, has a beating heart,” he said. “Five weeks in, its hands and legs begin to grow.”

“It’s these tiny creatures, and too often ones that are far more developed, that are pulled from a mother’s womb and crushed with forceps,” Hume continued. “Oh, but oh-so-carefully for body parts that could later be sold or preserved.”

He said that Americans have been complacent while millions of children have been ripped to pieces across the nation all in the name of legality.

“This gruesome procedure shows the extent that we as a people have been anesthetized by the estimated 55 million—55 million—abortions performed since the Supreme Court discovered a constitutional right to that procedure 42 years ago,” Hume declared.

“Will we as a nation someday come to look upon that decision and what it has done to us, not to mention the 55 million, with horror and regret?” he asked. “One can only hope we will.”

Others have made similar comments since the Planned Parenthood expose’ videos have been released, stating that it is disturbing that Americans show outrage over the selling of body parts, but not the killing of the children themselves.

“Why are we all of a sudden outraged that they’re selling the body parts of the babies they kill?” commented Conrad Close in an article entitled “Slaughter Babies and Nobody Panics; Sell Their Body Parts and Everyone Loses Their Minds.”

He said, however, that he was glad that the videos were released because it exposed the nature of abortion.

“That’s a great first step,” Close stated. “But at the end of the day, we won’t solve this problem by stopping the sale of aborted baby parts. That’s because we don’t have an organ trafficking problem; we have a disrespect for life problem. We can’t claim to be a nation of ‘equality for all’ until we respect and protect every life, no matter what race, sex, or circumstances of conception.”

As previously reported, Planned Parenthood’s annual report, released in January of this year, outlined that the organization performed 327,653 abortions nationwide during the 2013-2014 fiscal year, up from 327,166 the year prior. The figures also show that there were 1,880 adoption referrals, down 14 percent from 2012, equating to 174 abortions for every adoption referral.

I pray he gets the help he needs, serves his time and I pray that he finds peace in his heart and soul.

My guess is that he was already getting some kind of “help” in the form of psychotropic drugs.

      • BarkingDawg

Maybe. He certainly exhibits signs of paranoid schizophrenia.

Hopefully his parents have health insurance.

        • Oboehner

Everyone has health insurance now, haven’t you heard?

          • BarkingDawg

I heard that there are certain tea types that still don’t.

          • Oboehner

Right, they just pay for it, but because the deductible is so high to pay for the insurance of nonpayers and the greed of the “healthcare” industry…

He also claimed that his actions were the result of “constantly flooding [his] brain with negative music.”

So he is mentally ill. 19 is a common age when schizophrenia starts to manifest itself.

I knew a Judge who sentenced a killer to death. The killer said he didn’t mean to shoot anyone. The Judge asked him why he loaded the gun.

In the Old Testament, if someone used a weapon, they new what they were doing and it was premeditated.

“And if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.” (Numbers 35:16, KJV 1900)

that is one way of disposing of those with mental illness.

      • Dave_L

Who with any authority said he was mentally ill?

        • Peter Leh

          not me.

i am referring to your OP.

He was (now deceased) a very wise State and Federal Judge.
