BBC Criticized Over Transgender Program Aimed at Six to Twelve-Year-Olds

television pd(The Christian Institute) Parents and MPs have fiercely criticized a CBBC program about a boy living as a girl, calling it “completely inappropriate.”

“Just A Girl” features “Amy”—played by an actress—who is starting out at secondary school, and does not want anyone to find out he was “born in the wrong body.”

It is accessible via the CBBC iPlayer website, which is aimed at children between six and twelve years old.

In the program, Amy is already taking hormone blockers and regularly texts her friend “Josh”—a girl who is living as a boy—about living as a transsexual.
