The Islamic terrorist group ISIS, also identifying themselves as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, has beheaded an American aid worker, according to a new video released by the barbaric Muslim faction and confirmed to be authentic by the Obama administration.
“This is Peter Edward Kassig, a U.S. citizen of your country,” states the executioner after video footage pans from the feet of the man to show a bloody head between his legs. “Peter, who fought against the Muslims in Iraq while serving as a soldier under the American Army doesn’t have much to say. His previous cellmates have already spoken on his behalf.”
“To Obama, the dog of Rome, today we are slaughtering the soldiers of Bashar and tomorrow we will be slaughtering your soldiers,” he continues. “And with Allah’s permission … the Islamic State will soon … begin to slaughter your people in your streets.”
The sixteen-minute video is also filled with images of other violent acts, such as ISIS marching out a line of Syrian soldiers, who are handcuffed and being held by the nape of their neck. They are beheaded as well after being forced to kneel on the ground.
The video is the fifth of its kind, and Kassig is the third American to be beheaded following journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff. Kassig, 26, had served in the Iraq war, and later became involved in volunteer medical work in Lebanon. He went on to found his own organization, called SERA, Special Emergency Response and Assistance, which “sourced and delivered food and medical supplies to the growing [refugee] camps on both sides of the Syrian border.”
Kassig was captured in 2013, and was stated to have converted to Islam while being held hostage, changing his name to Abdul-Rahman. He wrote to his parents while in captivity, stating that he feared death.
“I am obviously pretty scared to die but the hardest part is not knowing, wondering, hoping, and wondering if I should even hope at all,” Kassig said. “I am very sad that all this has happened and for what all of you back home are going through. If I do die, I figure that at least you and I can seek refuge and comfort in knowing that I went out as a result of trying to alleviate suffering and helping those in need.”
He had been featured last month in a video for the beheading of British aid worker Alan Henning, dressed in an orange jumpsuit, as ISIS threatened to take his life next if the U.S. continued its attacks on the Islamic group.
“Obama, you have started your aerial bombardment of Shams (Syria), which keeps on striking our people,” the executioner, referred to as jihadi John by some, stated, “so it is only right that we continue to strike the neck of your people.”
The Obama administration confirmed that Sunday’s video was indeed authentic.
“Today we offer our prayers and condolences to the parents and family of Abdul-Rahman Kassig, also known to us as Peter,” Obama remarked in a statement. “While ISIL revels in the slaughter of innocents, including Muslims, and is bent only on sowing death and destruction, Abdul-Rahman was a humanitarian who worked to save the lives of Syrians injured and dispossessed by the Syrian conflict.”
