Famed luxury fashion house designer Domenico Dolce, who identifies as a homosexual and once had a relationship with business partner Stefano Gabbana, is again speaking out against same-sex “marriage” and surrogacy.

The two men recently provided a brief interview with Italian magazine Panarama, in which Dolce expressed his views about conceiving children by unnatural means.

“Life has a natural flow; there are things that cannot be changed,” he stated. “The only family is the traditional one. No chemical offspring and rented uterus.”

“I am not convinced by those I call children of chemistry, synthetic children,” Dolce said. “Rented uterus, [male fertilization] chosen from a catalogue … Psychiatrists are not ready to confront the effects of this experimentation.”

Gabbana also opined that he takes the definition of family seriously.

“The family is not a fad,” he said. “In it there is a supernatural sense of belonging.”

The fashion designers’ comments have spoken in the past in regard to their opposition to same-sex “marriage.” In 2003, UK-based publication The Telegraph asked the men if they planned on tying the knot.

“What? Never!” Dolce replied. “I’m a practicing Catholic.”

Gabbana also told the Daily Mail in 2006, “I am opposed to the idea of a child growing up with two gay parents. A child needs a mother and a father. I could not imagine my childhood without my mother.”

But following Dolce and Gabbana’s recent comments to the Italian publication, a number of homosexual advocates have become enraged at the duo, claiming that the men are “spreading hate.” Some called for a boycott of their fashion line.

“These designers’ horrifying views are never in fashion. Their clothes are as ugly as their hate,” Tweeted American screenwriter Ryan Murphy.

“Your voices are too powerful to be spreading so much hate,” wrote singer Ricky Martin. “Wake up; it’s 2015. Love yourselves, guys.”

Singer Elton John has now called for a boycott of the fashion designers, as he has two IVF children with his partner David Furnish.

“How dare you refer to my beautiful children as ‘synthetic’?” he wrote on Instagram. “Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. BoycottDolceGabbana.”

But Gabbana responded by leaving a one word comment: “Fascist.”

He further explained to the publication Corriere Della Sera that he was surprised that the singer responded in the way that he did.

“I wasn’t expecting it,” Gabbana stated. “What’s going on? You preach understanding. You preach tolerance. And then you put the knife in all because someone else doesn’t see things your way? Is that supposed to be a democratic way of thinking? Enlightened? He’s ignorant, in the sense that he denies ways of seeing things that may not be his but are just as deserving of respect.”

The men also noted that their opinions were only personal ones, and that they don’t take issue with others who choose differently. Gabbana said that he personally isn’t against IVF, but Dolce is.

“Domenico simply expressed his opinion on the traditional family and medically assisted fertilization. Do others think differently? That’s their privilege. But we want the same respect,” Gabbana said. “But I can see there are gays, particularly on the web, who are homophobes. Gays who insult other gays for expressing ideas that are different.”
