Michigan Attorney General Sues Abortionist Found With Containers of Human Remains in Trunk

Roth-compressedDETROIT, Mich. — The attorney general of Michigan has filed a civil suit against an abortionist in the state who recently was found to be carrying containers of aborted babies in his trunk.

As previously reported, abortionist Michael Roth, formerly of the Novi Laser and Aesthetic Center, allegedly struck a 32-year-old disabled man with his vehicle in Orchard Lake Village in October. After impounding the car, police found over a dozen plastic containers of what is believed to be the disfigured, mangled remnants of aborted children in his trunk, along with medical equipment and a significant amount of the drug Fetanyl, which is used for pain and sedation.

“We do have an opinion from the medical examiner’s office that this is remnants of conception, but there was nothing that was seen within the containers that were recognizable,” West Bloomfield Deputy Chief Curt Lawson told the Detroit Free Press.

The containers were taken to the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office for further review, and a raid was conducted on his home and office.

Now, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette has filed an administrative complaint against Roth, alleging violations of the state health code, including negligence, incompetence, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and “betrayal of professional confidence.”

The abortionist has 30 days to respond to the complaint, and could lose his medical license over the matter.

St. John Providence Park Hospital, a Catholic hospital in Novi, cut ties with the abortionist after it was first publicized that he had been found with mangled dead babies in his vehicle.

“Michael Roth, MD is a private practice physician (not employed by the hospital) on leave of absence. Our by-laws clearly require all physicians to adhere to the ethical religious directives, meaning no abortions in the hospital,” it said in a statement. “But Michigan law prohibits hospitals from denying medical staff privileges based on whether or not a physician provides termination of pregnancy services at other locations.”

Roth has a long history of legal problems, including lawsuits from women who suffered perforated bowels or required a hysterectomy.

“Among the many complaints against Roth was a 1998 case in which a 41-year-old woman ‘requested [Roth] to perform a voluntary termination of pregnancy at her home’ because of her ‘alleged agoraphobia.’ The woman was in fact a bartender and had no diagnosis of agoraphobia,” the Daily Beast notes, outlining that the abortionist was found to have violated Michigan’s 24-hour waiting period as he never met with her prior to the abortion procedure.

“In addition to his at-home abortions, Roth was disciplined in 2002 for drug-related violations, including prescribing drugs without a license. He was disciplined in 2004 for violating patient consent laws and was accused of falsifying medical records by a former employee,” other reports outline.
