ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A New Mexico man who became irate and threatened violence inside of a GameStop store when he was called “sir” instead of “ma’am” says that he “would do it 100,000 times again” because his “actions were justified” at “blatant and malicious hate.”

“I could have reacted a whole lot better, but you know what? I look back at it [and] I wouldn’t change a single thing,” the man, who goes by the name Tiffany Moore, told local television station KOB4. “I would do it 100,000 times again. I would kick over that display 100,000 times again because my actions were justified.”

“I mean, it was blatant and malicious hate,” he said. “It was blatant and malicious misgendering.”

As previously reported, a video of Moore generated national attention last month as he was recorded yelling at a cashier at the Albuquerque GameStop, a nationwide retail chain that sells video games and electronics. Moore was reportedly there to buy a game for his son.

The cashier initially denied that he had called Moore “sir.”

“I said ‘both of you,’” he stated.

“No. You said sir,” Moore argued. “Once again, it’s ma’am.”

“I actually said, ‘both of you guys,’ just in general,” the cashier replied.

“Right beforehand you [expletive] said sir!” Moore exclaimed. He started to walk away, but turned back around enraged after the cashier used the word “sir” to address him.

“[Expletive], take it outside. You want to call me sir again I will show you a [expletive] sir!” Moore threatened.

“I apologize,” the cashier calmly answered. “I apologize ma’am.”

Moore then angrily walked away, cursing and kicking into a display. Seconds later, he turned around and demanded that the cashier provide the corporate number so that he could lodge a complaint that he had been “misgendered several times.”

The cashier asked the man to calm down and to stop using profanity.

“Well, I’m going to ask you for the fifth time to stop calling me a man, because quite clearly I am not,” Moore indignantly asserted.

The cashier repeated his apologies and again asked the man to stop cursing.

“I am not cursing. Get me the [expletive] number,” Moore demanded.

The cashier, in seeking to correct the Moore once again about his language, called the man “sir” in the process and then quickly switched to “ma’am,” which infuriated Moore.

He soon left the store, remarking that the cashier is disrespecting “trans people,” and that he would spread the word, which would hurt the company financially.

“I was so angry at that point because literally five or six times he had called me ‘sir,'” Moore, who works as an MC and rapper, told KOB4. “It got me so fuming angry and I was cussing.”

He opined that the video of the incident is “bringing so many bigots out of the woodwork.”

“We’re humans just like you. We’re people just like you. We have kids, we have parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles [and] cousins,” Moore said. “We’re just trying to live.”

As previously reported, the Bible teaches that all men are in the same predicament: All are born with the Adamic sin nature and are “by nature the children of wrath” (Ephesians 2:3), having various inherent inclinations that are contrary to the law of God and being utterly incapable of changing themselves. Nay rather, the net and the captive are one, and he who tries to cast off the oppression which hinders him from following that which is good is trying to cast off himself,” also wrote the late preacher and Bible commentator Alexander Maclaren.

“But to men writhing in the grip of a sinful past, or paralyzed beyond writhing and indifferent, because [they are] hopeless, or because they have come to like their captivity, comes one whose name is ‘The Breaker,’ whose mission it is to proclaim liberty to the captives, and whose hand laid on the cords that bind a soul, causes them to drop harmless from the limbs and sets the bondsman free.”

Jesus declared in John 8, “Verily, verily, I say unto you: Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house forever, but the Son abideth ever. If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
