Bibles Banned on Religious Freedom Day Over Satanists Seeking to Pass Out Coloring Books

Satanic TempleORLANDO, Fla. — A Christian group in Florida was not allowed to distribute Bibles for Religious Freedom Day on Friday after the school district decided to change its policy on distribution by outside groups when a New York-based Satanic organization sought last fall to pass out coloring books to students.

As previously reported, the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) learned in 2013 that the Christian ministry World Changes had made Bibles available to Orlando high school students on “Religious Freedom Day.” To counter the Bible distribution, FFRF sought permission from the school district to give students a variety of atheistic and anti-Christian materials.

According to reports, the Orange County School Board permitted FFRF to distribute several books and pamphlets, including a booklet entitled “What’s Wrong With The Ten Commandments?” and a brochure entitled “What Is An Atheist?” However, the board prohibited FFRF from giving students several other publications, citing the materials’ “disruptive” and inappropriate content.

FFRF promptly sued the school board for not allowing the distribution of the materials, and eventually it complied with the organization’s demands. In July, a district judge officially dismissed the FFRF lawsuit, thus giving the green light to the in-school distribution of atheistic materials.

Following the decision, the New York-based Satanic Temple announced last September that it would likewise distribute its publications to area schools so that it can have its equal time before students.

“I am quite certain that all of the children in these Florida schools are already aware of the Christian religion and it’s Bible, and this might be the first exposure these children have to the actual practice of Satanism,” spokesperson Lucien Greaves wrote in a press release about the matter. “We think many students will be very curious to see what we offer.”

One of the items that the group sought to distribute was The Satanic Children’s Big Book of Activities, which includes a coloring page that features “Annabel’s study filled with Satanic literature and philosophy,” a pentagram connect the dots complete with a goat’s head, and a secret code that reads “Satana Blessed Be.”

But the Orange County School board said in November that the distribution policy was being abused through these efforts and had become a distraction to the learning environment. It then moved to consequently ban the distribution of all religious materials in order to end the competition between the various groups.

“This really has, frankly, gotten out of hand,” Orange County Chairman Bill Sublette told reporters. “I think we’ve seen a group or groups take advantage of the open forum we’ve had. … In my office alone I had received close to 11,000 emails in one period on this issue, and it gives you an idea of the level of disruption it was causing.”

“Everyone’s upset about the Satanists and the atheists coming,” added board member Christine Moore.

Now, the district has put a halt to all requests from outside groups until it revises its distribution policy. Officials will be working on the matter over the next month, with a meeting scheduled for next week.

“The Bible distributions are a good thing,” said Roger Gannam of Liberty Counsel. “They haven’t caused any problems, but now by creating controversy this group is maybe perhaps getting what it wants.”

David Williamson of FFRF admitted that it is indeed the case.

“We don’t want our schools to become religious battlefields,” he told WFTV. “We’ve advocated all along to close the forum.”

Let’s teach little kids all about satan. It truly boggles the mind to see just how far our society has fallen in such a short amount of time.

    • Fundisi

We are lost! I agree it has been like lightening how far and how fast we have fallen, Satan now rules most of America.

    • Randy Wanat

I know. It’s like you can’t drag gays down a country road tied to your truck bumper like God said to do. It’s not fair! >:(

      • Harry Oh!

        • Randy Wanat

You don’t agree that the good ol’ days when the blacks and gays and women knew their place were better than today? You some kind of liberal pinko commie?

“Let’s teach little kids all about satan. It truly boggles the mind to see just how far our society has fallen in such a short amount of time.”

      Exactly.

90% of the people teaching little kids all about Satan are fundamentalist/evangelical religious believers and churches, because three-year-old level boogeyman notions always make great theological justifications for justifying acceptance of the party line religious doctrines, because, after all, if you don’t believe it you’re going to hell.

      • Harry Oh!

One side warns about satan, the other endorses him. Which one do you prefer?

“One side warns about satan, the other endorses him. Which one do you prefer?”

I prefer the side that understands the irrational and bogus nature of three-year-old type superstitions about boogeymen and that actually comprehends the nature of satire.

Not to mention how this satire so obviously exposed the duplicitous nature of the school officials’ efforts at ignoring the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, and thus was a brilliant maneuver.

          • Harry Oh!

You failed to answer the question. But you did manage to come across as a committed God hater, thereby indirectly and unwittingly verifying my original statement…Thanks!

We are in such a terrible time in America, we are in so much trouble from the forces of spiritual darkness. Virtually every state, every municipality, every school district, fearing both the high costs of law suits and the protests and anger of those on the Left, have surrendered, we have run up the white flag and said to the Devil – you win, we just do not have the guts, we just do not have the strength to fight you. The answer is to silence the Christian faith, to force people of faith into the criminal margins of our society. To make matters much worse, so much of the organized so-called Christian Church is also surrendering, they feel that compromise, giving in to evil is what God wants us to do and this false, apostate Christian Church, this great spiritual whore is becoming indistinguishable from from the Left Wing, liberal forces of the anti-Christ.

What is at stake is the everlasting souls of our children of future generations, wherein we see a vast majority of young people now supporting homosexual rights, gay marriage and our national baby holocaust. Christians, we have already, whether you want to admit it or not, lost this war for the heart and soul of America. We are for all intent and purposes an anti-Christ country, our national religion is secular humanism – atheism and Christ is being used as a weapon to deny Christians their rights. We are lost, absent a national revival and national repentance, which I see no signs on the horizon.

    • Homer for God

I do. It has been foretold in Revelation that these days were coming. The next step is rapture and Armageddon. I’m totally fine with that. I can’t wait to be part of the new earth! Praise God and all his glory.

      • SteveN

        Please God…..come soon.

      • dogen

PLEASE stop with this “end of times” nonsense. It makes Christians look like morons. The “end of times” happened when the Romans crushed the Jewish rebellion late in the 1st century a.d. All of the “rapture” and “end of times” nonsense is a post modern derived (read ‘made up’) ideology. It makes no sense and is simply not true.

        • KenS

Revelations was written in 90 AD and the destruction of the temple was in 70 AD.

          • dogen

Correct. It a history book more so than prophecy. It was written in coded form so that followers at that time could follow it but Romans could not.

          • KenS

no, it was not history, it clearly says that these things shall come to pass, not that it already happened.

          • Homer for God

Correct Ken. I’m sure there were people like Dogen who believed the same thing during the time after Isaiah prophesied about Jesus before it was fulfilled thousands of years later.

          • dogen

Isaiah was also history AND prophecy.

And much of it has not yet come to pass.

          • Homer for God

But much has. It’s not a matter of if it will pass but when. You can either believe and be as ready as you can be or not believe and deal with whatever happens. Oh and you talk about history. Well, prophecy has been told and fulfilled which has been documented in history. And you said it yourself that much “has yet come to pass” , which tells me that more is to come. I choose to be ready for it and not be left behind as the Word teaches.

          • dogen

Left behind is a mistaken notion out of the modern imagination. I think having a solid understanding of these scriptures is fundamental. Sadly the are wildly misunderstood among the masses.

          • Homer for God

I’m sorry you believe that. I just know that all the teaching atheists and satanists try to impose on our society (which is unfortunately working) is beliefs by corrupted people in recent history, unlike the teaching of God through his Word and scholars has gone on for thousands of years and has been documented. I choose to believe in a system that has been established and proven and has, once taught and followed correctly, brought peace and understanding rather then choose a system that corrupts, teaches that greed and perversion are just fine, and has been the catalyst for wars and suffering.
Ok so you think Christians are hurting society by our “idolatry” ways, but in actuality we present the truth. It’s up to the person to follow it. You however spend your time trying to discredit us and put us down while we have done nothing to hurt you, and force people to believe in what you try to teach. So what makes what you do any better or any more right then what you claim we do to others? We are taught to be peaceful people who spread the Gospel of Jesus, and the true Christians follow that practice. No one is perfect, that’s why we have grace. True Christians know that first hand and teach it through the Word.

          • dogen

Even the veneration of the Bible is a modern cult. The Bible is a book of teaching stories that have meaning. It is not an object to be worshiped. It is not divine. It is a book ABOUT God, not a book BY God. It is inspired but not literal.

And who are you to determine who is a Christian and who is not? That is a decision that is well above your pay grade. I will leave it to God to decide which of us is a follower of Christ. I have no doubts for myself.

No, pseudochristians believe a modern lie. Pseudochristians would not recognize historical Christianity if they stumbled across it. 2,000 years of distortions are a lot to deal with and pseudochristians have no desire to learn the teachings of Jesus in their historic, cultural, context. Postmodern distortion of the Bible, and in particular the Book of Revelation would be funny if they did not distort Christian truth. The Bible is a book of history and that history is meaningless to those who don’t understand the religion, culture and time of Jesus.

          • dogen

You did not read what I said. I said it was more of a history than prophecy. Did you catch why you were wring this time?

      • Fundisi

It is called sin and condemned by God. It has nothing to do with equal rights.

        • dark477

Your god has no authority here. people have a right to sin

          • Fundisi

Yes they do and by that rebellion, the right to go to hell. That is equal rights in spades.

You’re going to be so shocked when Osiris weighs your heart and finds it heavier than a feather.

          • Spychiatrist

Osiris, Apollo, Apollyon, Gilgamesh, and two dozen other names are all the historical NIMROD.

Nimrod/Osiris/et al. was the first world dictator and won’t be judging anyone. You’re trying to be snarky, yet you know nothing of what you’re talking about historically.

You can mock God all day long. You can even ridicule Christians to your hearts content, but just remember this that there’s a day coming when you will take your very last breath and after that a judgement. That judgement won’t be levied by Osiris, it will will levied by Jesus Christ. Better for you that you quit the mockery now and ask him to save your soul.

          • Randy Wanat

I can’t tell if you’re too smart to believe what you’re saying or if you’re too ignorant to understand why what you’re saying is hilariously stupid.

          • DontLikeWimps

            And you are ridiculously ignorant!

          • Gary

If you had a right to sin, then it would not be sin. It is sin because you are doing what God prohibits, or not doing what God commands.

          • DontLikeWimps

So you are saying people have the right to steal, murder, rape too just because they want to??? You are really a troubled individual !!! Your way of thinking is animalistic and not even realistic.

        • raytheist

It’s only calledl “sin” by people who are unwilling to leave other people alone to live their own lives on their own terms. You do not get to decide what is “sin” in other people’s lives. Keep your own life pure and clean, and let other people alone.

          • Fundisi

No it is not called sin by people who are unwilling to leave people aloner, God calls it sin.

The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27
teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When people continue in sin and unbelief, God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.

God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that people become homosexuals because of sin (Romans 1:24-27) and ultimately because of their own choice. “

          • raytheist

No, you are mistaken. It doesn’t matter what you THINK the Bible says, there are plenty of Bible scholars who interpret it differently, and I’m not accountable to ANYone’s interpretation of what the Bible says.

          • dogen

That is grotesque especially when modern science knows otherwise.

Homosexuality is not even a sin. It is simply an abomination (a word that means nothing like you think it does). Women on their periods and men who have not bathed are also abominations. The “cure” for an abomination is to bathe.

          • Fundisi

That’s silly, how are you going to bathe away homosexuality.

Science has nothing at all to do with it, homosexual conduct is a choice, it is no different than rape, child molestation, adultery, fornication they are all deviant sexual choices, none of them fit within the description of the undefiled marriage bed, they are all sins against God. God has destroyed two cities for that very gross sin, not a lack of hospitality as you gays would pretend, but homosexual and other perverse sexual conduct. God spoke in the most harsh ways in Romans One:

God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie.

God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

You gays can try and twist God’s Word all you want, but it is listed with other sins, it is listed among the sins of sexual immorality and sexual perversions – so it is a sin. Like all sins, unless they are repented (turned from in agreement with God) and they seek healing/deliverance by God from those shameful desires, those gross sinful, sexual acts they are condemning themselves to hell. The good news is that some who were formerly engaged in homosexual conduct were healed and saved and God offers His Grace and healing to all who turn from those sins in their hearts and seek His salvation.

          • Taussig

you have zero proof that homosexuality is a choice….Next!!

          • Fundisi

So these people are forced to engage in homosexual conduct? They have no choice?

          • dogen

I refuted this yesterday but the post disappeared.

          • http://quixotichumanist.com/ Robert Ray

If sexual orientation is a choice, when did you choose to be heterosexual?

          • Fundisi

I apologize, I assumed most people here could read and apparently you cannot. I said homosexual conduct.

          • http://quixotichumanist.com/ Robert Ray

That you did. You are asking people to go against their own nature because you read a book that says such conduct is bad.
Do you also ask that others not eat shellfish, work on the Sabbath, make their women go to a tent in the backyard during their menstrual cycles?

          • Fundisi

            No apology?

I am not asking gays to do anything. I oppose that lifestyle choice as a matter of faith, because that lifestyle sexual activity will lead every soul thus engaged and unrepentant to hell; and I would like to see as many saved as possible, by telling them the truth and the Good News. That is an expression of the Love of God!

I am a Christian, I honor the Old Testament for many reasons, but I live by the New Testament and it says nothing about shellfish (all foods are clean actually), Christians observing the Sabbath (we observe Sunday for corporate worship) or treating women as unclean in such a way because of their menstrual cycles.

it has everything to do with equal rights..such the hypocrite! its ok for you to preach against gays, islam, etc but when the shoe is on the other foot you scream persecution….good grief

  • Gail Petersen

Yes, we are lost. Let the atheists and satanists say what they want….the words of Christ are becoming crystal clear….”men will turn from God in the last days.” It is very hard, no, it’s impossible to find one Christian willing to stand up for God. It’s a secular world….only we few remaining Christians can stand up and take charge. Most of us won’t out of fear. God does not instill fear in us. We can do everything and anything through Christ who strengthens us. It’s time we stand up and start stomping on toes….kicking shins if necessary. If we don’t, we are damning our children and our children’s children to hell. Satan will win if we allow it.

    • Ralph Spoilsport II

It’s time we stand up and start stomping on toes….kicking shins if necessary.

Sometimes i look back from here in africa how in the days past the missionaries would come down preach about the one true God and how they got a whole lot of countries in Africa to the light and to GOD…i mean we felt if not for anything that america knew GOD, loved GOD and thats what kept them going,… now i see you all divided, arguing, falling apart blindly, fooling around. forsaking the very pillar which has sustained you over the centuries and made you stand tall as an important country..i see all this and i can only but shake my head in shame, a parable in africa says ” too many hands spoil the soup” clearly that is the case..you have agreed to accomodate all sorts of chefs, illegal or not, unbefitting or not ..forgetting the one true chef who has through his food kept you all alive and healthy…it has only begun just watch as you get fed even what your body system does not desire, watch how you will crumble from biting too much than you can chew, watch how you choke, watch how you die of allergies…it has only begun..unless you retrace your steps and go back to GOD, ask your fathers, they will tell you !!..

        • Ralph Spoilsport II

So you’d prefer making “other” religions illegal, instead of religious freedom?

    • dogen

Oh no, not the “last days” nonsense.

      • DontLikeWimps

Yes it is the last days….the present is going on according to the book of revelations….the great and terrible day of the Lord is close….there will be earthquakes in diverse places, wars and rumors of wars and Christians will be beheaded, the sea will be raging, there will be droughts and famines and pestilence…. Hmmmmmm….its all taking place as we speak!

You forgot the bit about dogs sleeping with cats. That is the best part.

          OH! You were serious!?

  • Reason2012

Passing out books that mock another belief system is not a religion – it’s a hateful way to silence all other beliefs so that atheism wins. The “coloring book” should not be allowed to be handed out to begin with as it’s just hate speech specifically directed at Christianity.

But in the end every knee shall bend before God.

    • http://honor1778.com/ Marcus Porcius

Or they won’t…and that has other consequences.

    • dark477

So what? Satanism is considered a legitimate religion you can’t deny it just because you think it’s making fun of you.

      • Reason2012

Hello. No, satanism is not a religion – it’s taking the evil part of Christianity and glorifying it to mock Christianity.

        • dark477

          The definition of religion is

“The belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods”

It doesn’t mater if you think you’re being mocked it still qualifies.

          • Taussig

            Exactly!

          • Okereke Kelechi Collins

you are frail in reasoning! ..SATANISM is anything but a religion, every religion that exists are held up by virtues which includes upright morals and several other ideologies that are some how similar across all beliefs..clearly satanism is staged purely to counteract all that Christianity believes in and mock it… it is ANTI-CHRIST!!

          • dark477

That’s your idea of a religion but a religion doesn’t need to be virtuous or moral.

          • Robert49

So what is your point then? What principles do you think you will learn if not virtuous or moral? Nothing of nothingness? I look at it as you’re kind are nothing but attention whores! Narcissists! Facts are facts? No satanist or atheist founded America nor does our nation’s founding documents display a foundation of unbelief in God! You cannot win on facts so all you have is mocking attitudes and obfuscation…..period! That said, My children will never see the inside of the doors of a public school to begin with because I and my wife do not neglect “our” parental responsibility in their upbringing by leaving them with someone I personally do not know to be able to put alien ideas they are not mentally and emotionally ready to handle.
I personally say to the world of Christians, that they should all pull their children out of the public dumbed down school system and teach them themselves or put them in a good christian school.

          • dark477

What does the religion of the founder have to do with anything? The constitution grants freedom to worship or not worship any religion not just the ones the founders believed in.

          • dogen

Where they can be dumbed down even further by teaching them the hatred of science and reality.

          • Reason2012

Hello. They are pretending to worship satan to mock Christianity. To not believe in God proves they do not believe in satan either. They are atheists/agnostics, which by definition means it’s not a religion they’re following, but a way to hatefully attack religion, specifically Christianity.

          • dark477

            It doesn’t matter.

          • DontLikeWimps

It matters….and all your thoughts, words and actions are being written down by God and you will be judged by every act you have done….so it ALL MATTERS !

I’m going to be polite to some who is condemning me to hell

          • DontLikeWimps

You are condemning yourself…I never said go to hell…its your own guilty conscious that believes I am condemning you to hell. I just said your thoughts are dark which is the same as being evil…

          • dogen

You were implying that he would be judged negatively. That is a little above your pay grade.

          • Robert49

Showed your intelligence by retorting like that. Are you 15 years old or a 40 year old that hasn’t matured mentally and emotionally as a normal human being should?

          • barbarakelly

these are lost souls and have no idea what is coming down the road. God help them. These will be the ones to watch out for. They will get mean.

          • Robert49

Actually it does. If one is doing something only for reasons of mocking other than protesting their government for redress of grievances then no it’s not a legitimate faith.

          • dark477

According to who? Name one law or legal case that has decided this.

          • usmcmailman

            Actually, neither do YOU !

          • dogen

No, Satanism is not that simple. There are various groups of Satanists with different belief systems. They are not atheist, per se.

          • Fundisi

That is only one definition and dishonest on your part. Religon is also: “A religion is an organized collection of beliefs, cultural systems, and world views that relate humanity to an order of existence. Atheism and Satanism meet that definition,

          • dark477

            And your point?

          • DontLikeWimps

You obviously are condoning evil….just look at your monogram it says dark…..your mind is dark. Just go away evil one…

          • dark477

            No

      • DontLikeWimps

Whoa…satanism is everything that is evil….so are you saying you condone sacrificing children to Satan? Because that is what they do as well …..not just make coloring books!!!!

        • dark477

The church of satan has never been connected with any serious crimes

          • DontLikeWimps

          • dogen

You need to do some research on the topic.

          • Robert49

So and your point? Fact: the vast majority of crimes that christian church members had taken part in happened before they accepted Jesus in to their life and straightened their life out. One more thing. What are you sooooooo worried about since you don’t believe you have a soul that will go anywhere after your physical death?

          • dark477

I’m not worried about anything and I’d like to see your evidence for that crime claim.

          • Bridget J and Norm Tremblay

wow, guess what? ever heard of something called the witch trials? you
know….when a bunch of people were burned ALIVE by christians? HUH? you

          • DontLikeWimps

Maybe there were people practicing witchcraft back then…the people could of felt their lives were in danger..so they got rid of the so called witches….evil should be dealt with !!

          • dogen

That is sick! Innocent people were killed for the outrageous lies of a few people that did not like them. You are evil.

        • dogen

Mainstream Satanists don’t do that. Psychopaths do that.

    • raytheist

What about all the anti-Islamic, anti-gay, anti-atheist tracts and books and sermons and everything else that are nothing more than hate speech to mock people who aren’t Christian. If you want to stop distributing Christian tracts about others, then maybe we’ll talk, but until you do that, then you can’t really complain about other religious groups doing the same things your people already do.

      • Reason2012

        Those are not religions –
An “anti-Islamic” book is not a religion
An “anti-gay” book is not a religion
A tract is not a religion
A sermon is not a religion.

A religion is a set of beliefs about the origin of life, or of the universe and so on, about a supernatural being.

But hatefully mocking someone’s religion rather than having your own is not a religion: it’s dishonest, hateful mocking.

Satanism is not a religion that mocks Christianity – it’s just a group of atheists (or perhaps agnostics) that mock Christianity.

        • raytheist

WOW!!!! If Christians can blatantly attack others, they should expect to be attacked in return, and they ought not cry and whine about it, regardless where it comes from or how.

“An “anti-Islamic” book is not a religionAn “anti-gay” book is not a religion”

Are you serious? It is Christianity attacking Islam or LGBT or whatever. It’s the same thing.

          • Reason2012

Hello. Putting out a Bible is not mocking atheists. Making a coloring book that specifically addresses atheists and mocks them would be mocking atheists.

No, the only ones who say Christianity is attacking them are those who hate God and want to censor it.

If Christians start putting out coloring books that specifically mock atheists, you’ll be correct.

            They’re not.

            Thank you for posting.

          • https://plus.google.com/u/0/112743459266731535020/posts Steve Greene

Christians have only been mocking atheists and atheism for centuries. So your delusional rhetoric merely demonstrates how you have no qualms about employing delusional rhetoric to try to back up some point that you’re utterly failing to establish by sticking with reality.

Geeze, it was just recently that some Christians put out a movie mocking atheism in the form of straw-manning atheism and atheists (as you religious apologists almost always do). That’s way ahead of coloring books. Of course, there’re also the notorious Jack Chick cartoon tracts which are always a riot a minute, not because of any keen comedic insights but because of their sheer stultifying idiocy.

          • Reason2012

Hello. There are always false Christians, so point to “Christians” mocking atheists is pointless.

And the real issue is: they were not handing out a coloring book that mocked atheists – they were handing out a Bible.

So what do the agnostics/atheists do? Hand out a coloring book that mocked Christianity and claimed they had a religious right to do so as if it’s the same as handing out a Bible.

            it’s not.

What movie are you referring to? Refuting what atheists say is not the same as mocking atheists.

          • https://plus.google.com/u/0/112743459266731535020/posts Steve Greene

“And the real issue is: they were not handing out a coloring book that mocked atheists – they were handing out a Bible.”

That’s not the real issue. The real issue is the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. Now, I have less than zero doubt that you want to pretend that isn’t the real issue since so many of you hate the Establishment Clause so much, but that doesn’t change the fact.

It doesn’t matter whether they were handing out Bibles or Qur’ans or Books of Mormon or Urantia Books or Scientology books or any of that other nonsense. The fact of the matter – the issue – is that the Christians wanted to hand out Bibles and they didn’t want anyone else handing anything else about religion out that they didn’t agree with. Which demonstrates the duplicitous nature of what they were doing in the first place.

“Refuting what atheists say is not the same as mocking atheists.”

Because straw man misrepresentations make such good refutations, no doubt.

          • Reason2012

Hello. The First Amendment is about the freedom of religious expression, not the freedom to hatefully mock religion.

Was any law passed saying they must hand out Bibles? No.
But can a law be passed PROHIBITING them from handing them out? No.

So what law was passed forcing them to hand out these Bibles, hence establishing by laws a religion?

No, they wanted Bible handed out and didn’t want hateful coloring books handed out. If they had their own religious text they wanted to hand out, and the majority of people did not mind, go for it. But to hand out hateful coloring books that are nothing but an attack on what others belief, that’s not religion, that’s just hate.

What did they say in the movie that hatefully mocks atheists in general. Please cite exact line.

          • https://plus.google.com/u/0/112743459266731535020/posts Steve Greene

“The First Amendment is about the freedom of religious expression, not the freedom to hatefully mock religion.”

Ah, yes. Please do keep proving my point.

Exactly as I pointed: “The real issue is the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. Now, I have less than zero doubt that you want to pretend that isn’t the real issue since so many of you hate the Establishment Clause so much, but that doesn’t change the fact.”

And what do you do? You *immediately* prove my point by completely ignoring the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. Thank you again for proving my point.

          • DontLikeWimps

Your mind is warped…those who condone satanism , show they stand on the side of Satan and are against God….you serve the beast.

          • raytheist

Sooooo… are you saying it is okay for Christians to attack others, but they should be immune from others returning the favor? Christians REGULARLY attack others, and usually without provocation or authority. So it is perfectly acceptable for others to do the same.

          • http://batman-news.com the nationalist

How is distributing free bibles hate speech? How does distributing bibles attack Islam or lgbt?

“Satanism is not a religion that mocks Christianity – it’s just a group of atheists (or perhaps agnostics) that mock Christianity.”

I hatefully mock a snake oil salesman for promoting pills of some bogus medical remedy. I mock his bogus rhetoric, I mock his delusional failure to deal with standards of credible real world evidence, and I do it quite antagonistically (“hatefully”) because I despise charlatans and any other people who defiantly employ false claims and fallacious rhetoric to promote their agenda regardless of what the real world facts are.

“It’s just a group of atheists (or perhaps agnostics) that mock Christianity.”

And so what is your point exactly?

          • Reason2012

Hello. The point is you cannot hand out a coloring book to these students that is nothing but hatefully attacking Christianity and pretend it’s the same thing as handing out a Bible.

If the Christians were handing out a coloring book that mocked atheists, you’d be on to something.

          • raytheist

Handing out a coloring book and handing out a Bible are EXACTLY the same thing — each seeking to teach the child something. Children should not be exposed to the Bible until they are adults, or at least given the critical thinking skills to realize what a crock it is.

          • Reason2012

No, the coloring book was hateful mockery. The Bible is what Christians belief for themselves, what came from God Himself.

If you want to pretend a religion’s holy book and a coloring book which has nothing in it but pointing out what others believe and hatefully mocking it are the same things only shows you have no intention on being honest on the issue.

Didn’t expect you to be honest on the issue – just wanted everyone else to see how dishonest people are that push for this sort of hate, and for that I thank you.

            Take care.

          • raytheist

No, you are the Christian, so you are obligated to close your eyes and dull your ears and refuse to be challenged. What *exactly* did you find hateful about the coloring book? Show me a page and explain why YOU think it is mocking.

Here’s a link to the coloring book. identify SPeCIFICALLY what you find mocking or attacking there. thesatanictemple.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Activity_Book.pdf

“The point is you cannot hand out a coloring book to these students that is nothing but hatefully attacking Christianity and pretend it’s the same thing as handing out a Bible.”

            Why not?

You don’t even know what atheism is, do you?

Now if it was up to me I would have handed out copies of George Smith’s brilliant *The Case Against God*. But that’s just me.

          • Reason2012

Handing out a coloring book that is nothing but directly mocking Christianity is not a coloring book about atheism.

If you want to hand out a coloring book about “nothing did it” go for it. To hand out a coloring book that targets Christianity instead -that’s not a religion. It’s disingenuous to pretend it is.

If they were handing out books “the case against atheism”, again you’d be on to something by handing out your “the case against God’.

Again, they were handing out the Bible – the book about God by God. Were they handing out a book about their religion? Oh that’s right: atheism is not supposed to be a religion – so they have nothing to hand out on the matter.

          • https://plus.google.com/u/0/112743459266731535020/posts Steve Greene

Wait a minute… Have you actually seen this coloring book? You keep asserting that it “targets Christianity” and is “directly mocking Christianity” – but I’m reading the article at the top of this page and it does not say anything like that. Where are you getting this stuff? Are you just making it up?

And – again – you are completely ignoring the real issue: The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. I quote from the article: “David Williamson of FFRF… ‘We don’t want our schools to become religious battlefields,’ he told WFTV. ‘We’ve advocated all along to close the forum.'”

Hello. True. I know what we can do:

2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

        • kameron

i guess the only thing we can do is to pray…

      • raytheist

That is merely your own interpretation. Most of us are actually trying to defend ourselves against Christian attack.

        • DontLikeWimps

Oh brother…they are just pointing out how wrong letting Satanists hand out their coloring books to innocent children….you should be against that as well so if you are not against Satanist …then you are for it…there is only black or white….you stand behind evil is what you are saying.

          • raytheist

I’ve seen the coloring book. There is nothing wrong with it. I wouldn’t mind if my child were given one. I’ve also read the Bible, and would happily smack-down anyone trying to distribute such filth in a public school.

          • DontLikeWimps

So you are condoning incest, pornography, child sacrifice, child trafficking, drugs, casting spells, sodomy, animal torture, drinking blood as well ???!!! Because that’s satanism as well !!!

          • raytheist

hahaha…. So you haven’t actually studied their materials to even find out what this group is all about? or why they are doing what they are doing? That’s funny, but rather typical of Christians — running off half-cocked, fear-mongering and spreading lies and b.s. about things they haven’t ACTUALLY studied.

          • DontLikeWimps

I do know what I am talking about…your lack of information on this subject is pitiful… You have no clue what you are standing by….get your facts straight… Its ridiculous how clueless you are…

          • DontLikeWimps

I knew a satanist when I was in my 20’s…he told me what went on in their rituals in the caves of Kentucky…. So I do know what I am talking about!!!!

          • raytheist

Oooohhhh… you “knew a satanist….” and of course, they are ALL the same, huh? bwahahaha.

Maybe you should dial it back a notch or two and actually RESEARCH the specific group distributing these coloring books. It’s not what you seem to think. Their basic tenets are fairly simple and positive: (thesatanictemple.com/)

One should strive to act with compassion and empathy towards all creatures in accordance with reason.
The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo your own.
Beliefs should conform to our best scientific understanding of the world. We should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit our beliefs.
People are fallible. If we make a mistake, we should do our best to rectify it and resolve any harm that may have been caused.
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.

          • raytheist

if you believe all who call themselves Satanist are the same, maybe you should accept that all Christians are the same, too. Do you want to give account for idiots like Fred Phelps or Pat Robertson? If not, then don’t judge all Satanists by some person you knew long ago.

          • DontLikeWimps

I’ve done lots of studying of this subject… But you don’t want to hear any facts…just like to argue!!! Typical, your mind is warped!

          • raytheist

Please, just do some research and find out if what you think is actually true about THIS PARTICULAR group who wanted to distribute the coloring books. Sounds like you are the one unwilling to learn something. I provided the link; go look it up, read their materials. It has nothing to do with incest or child abuse or any of the other things you mention.

          • DontLikeWimps

It has everything to do with, incest, child trafficking etc. Have you ever heard of Aliester Crowley????? Look him up! Or Baphomet. Or Luciferians? Do research on all of it, its all Satan worshipping!!!!!!

          • raytheist

No, you are mistaken. Go look up THIS GROUP and see what THIS group is about. Just because the use the name “Satanic Temple” you have no authority to judge them based on other people’s information. I gave you the link, go do some current active research and quit being such a fraidy-cat.

          • DontLikeWimps

I am not afraid…. Its either bad or good…you are trying to say there is a warm and fuzzy side to these satanists…there is no gray area.

          • raytheist

So then you admit that all Christians are likewise all looney-tunes as well, just because they all use the name “Christian”.

          • DontLikeWimps

Sorry but I am not going to argue with someone that thinks satanist have a warm fuzzy side to them…..you are delusional…you show whose side you are on and that’s all there is left to say….

          • DontLikeWimps

You obviously are a blow hard and no matter what evidence someone gives you…you will not listen because you hate God…so you are not worth my time…just continue to be ignorant , you are doing a great job of it !!!

          • DontLikeWimps

Oh sure they have to sugar coat it…..they can’t just come out and say we want to sacrifice your children….and do away with all Christians. They have to sound good hearted and not evil….

          • raytheist

Show me reports that THIS GROUP is sacrificing children or doing any of the things you claim to be true of all “Satanists”. And then start answering for all the atrocities committed by “Christians”. You are clearly missing the point here. You can’t paint all Christians with a single broad brush (or gays or atheists or any other group), yet you seem content to assume everyone calling themselves Satanist are all the same, even when they are clearly not.

          • DontLikeWimps

And you are calling evil good….that’s exactly what you are doing. I’m commenting from my phone…so I can’t paste any videos….just go look up illuminati and satanic symbolism, there’s thousands of videos that are very informative….

      • Reason2012

Interesting how even daring disagreeing with homosexuality is considered “hate speech” (which it’s not) and as hate speech (which it wasn’t) must instead be criminalized. Where are you when homosexual activist claim mentioning marriage is one man and one woman “hate speech and must not be allowed”? It seems you guys keep changing your mind on what’s allowed and what’s not to suit your agenda.

In any event, the coloring book was presented as if they have the “religious freedom” to do so, which of course is a lie as it’s, as I said, not a religion. Thank you for agreeing that it’s not, but that it’s just hateful mockery.

        • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v2SlLIS9eU Hudda Hudda Huh

“Hateful mockery” is still free speech.

          • Reason2012

Already said it was. Go back and read what I wrote.

          • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v2SlLIS9eU Hudda Hudda Huh

Then why are you so adamant on getting this “hateful mockery” banned so it doesn’t offend you?

  • dark477

Freedom of religions. either every religion gets in or none of theme do.

    • DontLikeWimps

You will be held accountable for every word you type on here…just remember that.

      • dark477

        Whatever

  • Peytwan

I mean, it’s only fair. Why are all the Christians getting mad for the other religions doing the same kind of things they were? Seems a bit

hypocritical. The kids have a choice, you know. You can’t deny them that just because you don’t like the other options.

    • DontLikeWimps

So you are telling people they are stupid for not wanting their innocent little children’s minds warped by teaching them about Satan??? Do you even hear yourself how crazy your thinking is?!!!

  • raytheist

Y’all make it sound like there’s an attack on Christianity. There isn’t.

  • Mark Moore

Christians don’t seem to get that if they don’t want some other religion proselytizing to their kids, those other groups don’t want them to proselytizing to their kids either. Christianity may do something to the empathetic response most people have naturally and substitute imaginary dictates from an imaginary god. Bad things happen when people base their decisions on delusion, superstition and myth from a genocidal god.

    • DontLikeWimps

Oh so you are a God hater…so what has he done to you? Given you life and a beautiful planet to live on?!!! Oh what a cruel God!!!! ….God still exists, I have prayed and he answered me and helped me with everything I was having trouble with….I could not of gotten out of the situations by myself. If you don’t have faith that he is real…then God won’t help you…simple as that.

      • raytheist

How do you get from “leave us alone” to “you hate God”??? There is no god to hate, but we absolutely abhor the behavior of Christians who think they know it all and try to get all up in everyone else’s face about it. If you have faith, keep it to yourself. It is nobody else’s business what you believe.

        • DontLikeWimps

That’s laughable… Then what are you doing on here???? You what to tell everyone what you believe! That’s what Christians are doing!!!!! You will one day stand before God, whether you believe it or not…he is the Creator of all things…

          • SashaC

I just come here because I find comments like the one you made to Mark insanely amusing. Thanks for that! 😉

          • DontLikeWimps

I remember you….you love to make fun of people….get lost. You just love bashing people who believe in God….Can’t fix stupid.

          • SashaC

            Keep the entertainment coming! 😀

          • DontLikeWimps

You are like a creepy stalker…Yechhhh….

          • SashaC

            Lol! What are you, 12?

  • kameron

dont worry theres a lot of hating going on this world….when we christian trying to say something they wanna argue cause they we are right there is a God and hes name is Jesus our saviour our God…a fool sat to hes heart there is no God.

  • John Mark IB

here’s hope for you Satanist, atheists muslim, etc., and well, there will come a time very soon when they get their real rewards, and or if they are here after the rapture, left behind, when their god will get his 7 years of glory, as the anti-Christ, then they’ll be begging for death but it won’t come to them, but that’s not nice either but whether or not they want it to, it will happen one way or the other, and so yeah, isn’t it hilarious that satan and his minions the haters the atheists only have the courage to go after the Gloriously Resurrected Christ, and attack The Bible, but have not the bravery to go against islam, and the real threat to this nation, which is now claiming the fallen duke U, as their very own muslim land, in the name of the moon god allah, but it makes sense really, satan would not go after his own religions, so that’s why they don’t go after them, plus the only name used by the lost as a curse word is the Name Jesus Christ, ever wondered why that is? thy never say Mohamed or Buddha or Krishna, as a curse word because satan knows very well the truth of Jesus name, and has them all cursing it as he himself does!! bottom line they can’t and will not prevent GOD’S Words from serving His ultimate purpose, as His Word says in

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

now to those who might be wanting to still know what’s this life all about, the atheist or Satanist or muslim or skeptic, who wishes to find hope and meaning in your life and real truth, then please do yourself a big favor and see the hope here in the few sites below, and may GOD bless the christiannews.net for this site and allowing my 2 cents and sites here have a blessed day and week with love joy and peace always in Jesus name amen!

Just prohibit all outside groups from distributing materials. God will still find a way to reach those kids He wants.

  • http://quixotichumanist.com/ Robert Ray

Orange County Chairman Bill Sublette told reporters “I think we’ve seen a group or groups take advantage of the open forum we’ve had”
It seems the idea of Open Forum does not mean what he thinks it means. He was all for this open forum so long as it agreed with his religion. Sorry that is not what an open forum is. If a public entity is going to open its doors to one religion, it must open its doors to all.
Oh and this headline is misleading, It should read “Religious texts banned on Religious Freedom Day” as all form of religion was banned. But I really wouldn’t expect a Christian website to have any honesty about this since it wouldn’t fit the persecution narrative.

  • Terry Roll

It has nothing to do with mocking Christianity itself. They were handing the stuff out to show just why we have separation of church and state. Would you want your kids being given Islamic and Jewish literature? How would you feel if they had to pray to Allah? Well similarly Jewish, Muslim and athiest parents don’t want Christian literature handed out. You should have and practice the religion of your choice, but it is an individual matter, not one to be promoted in public institutions. It protects Christianity and our society in the grand scheme of things.

  • Michael Eade

Funny all i see is comments from butt hurt fools, it seems to me as if Christians can attack others, Gays, lesbians, Bisexuals, Atheists, Muslims, Sikh, Satanists, Buddhists (the list is rather long).

But if anyone attacks Christianity they are being “oppressed”, ironic really wasn’t the inquisition committed in the name of god, were scientists not tortured and executed for saying the world was round and that the earth was not the center of the universe?

    • Reason2012

Hello. Christians were not trying to hand out coloring books that mock atheists or anyone else. So to pretend handing out coloring books that hatefully mocks Christians is a religion only shows how dishonest those who hate God and hate Christianity will be in order to attack Christianity.

And is it attacking a person who admits to running red lights to point out “when you get caught you’ll get a ticket and if you do not stop you’ll go to jail”? No, it’s trying to help them. Calling that “attacking” does not make it so.

When such a person is caught, he will wonder what kind of “friends” would not have warned him about it and realize those he hated for telling him were really trying to be a friend to him.

    • Michael Eade

“Religious freedom” does not extend to christianity only.

  • Joe the Contractor

People have no understanding of what Freedom of Religion actually means. It does not mean that your religion is free to practice and distribute materials but others are not, it means that every religion is free to practice and distribute materials. It doesn’t matter if you agree with them or not.

  • barbarakelly

Don’t worry they will all be on their belling crawling like a snake before God. Or we will be finding them under a rock hiding when the time comes.

    • DontLikeWimps

Finally there is someone else with common sense on here….most of the people on here are psychotic and think we should let satanists corrupt our children….

      • barbarakelly

These stupid people are caving and don’t want to get involved. When they wake up it will be to damn late. Are they all on calm pills I wonder.

        • DontLikeWimps

Most of the people on here are trying to say there is nothing wrong with satanists trying to give little children coloring books!!! 90% of the people on here are all Satan’s little minions! They have already been brainwashed…. Its really disgusting. Usually most sites have Christians on them…but not this one!!!

  • John Mark IB

here’s hope for you still but,ah yes once again the dear atheists who deny The True and Living GOD, but yet really are still serving a god of their own making, in their own image, the god of self, same as the god of this world satan himself, right where he wants you to be so you reject Truth, let it be known this is your sad, and albeit unknown to yourself, true dilemma, and this is said with all due respect, with utmost concern and care, as the battle of words and ideas goes of all the so called world religions and other faiths, they all will have to answer the simple question is there an absolute truth does truth exist absolutely and if it does then who or what is the proof? where is the proof? who’s truth? and mainly since it does it has been revealed by The True and Living GOD though His Son Jesus, so the question is what will you do with the man Christ Jesus? so then we will give you the answer from GOD’S Preserved Words and His Revelation to mankind, His Words as revealed to mankind via His Divine Words in The KJV Bible in English and special revelation thru History revealed through the people and Nation of Israel, and special Creation, tell us all we have to make a decision when we’re old enough to do so, accountable as an adult, and that will be to reject and disbelieve or accept and believe the Truth found only in Christ and Him alone!! thanks for visiting this christiannews.net site and thanks to christiannews.net for allowing open air and my longwinded opinionated posts ha ha 🙂 so dear friend what will it be your simple answer to His simple question? what will you do with Jesus?, the cults deny Him, the false witnesses of Jehovah deny Him, Mormons and others who put their false prophets and so called ellen g white prophetesses above Him for salvation too, all deny Him as the only means and way for salvation, thus rejecting His Word, as do The hindus deny Him, the muslim denies Him, the atheist and Satanists despise Him, as does most of the world, but dear friend, who is honestly seeking the meaning and truth of this life? what will it be what will you do with Christ Jesus? here’s hope please consider prayerfully and may GOD bless you as you do with love joy and peace always in Jesus name and His alone!! amen have a blessed day and week!!

  • JeromeMac

So this “abuse” happened when non-Christian groups wanted a distribution of their literature. Not when only Christians were doing it, hmmm. Also notice the lead that Christian bibles not allowed to be distributed, well, that is the choice of Christians on this school board afraid of other views. Second, the distribution of the bibles was done with the intent to promote their personal religious views. They didn’t want atheism or Satanism promoted so they changed the policy. Utter hypocrisy.

  • Mary Brown

Hate materials have no place in any school and that is what the atheists and other kooks wanted to hand out. Christianity is not hate it teaches morality. It is time to shut these frivolous lawsuits down with state laws banning them

    • Seishin

realllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? teaches morality and isn’t hate huh???? well then go tell that to the preachers and several other hundreds of people that i see that keep going how evil gay people and muslims are. calling for muslims to “get out of our country” or how they’re all “terrorists who want to kill you.” yeah they’re absolutely lovely people.

      • Mary Brown

Until I see a muslim leader renounce terrorists and say they are going to hell and are not martyrs then yes they are all terrorists. A radical muslim cuts your head off, a moderate muslim asks a radical muslim to do it for him. Islam is a cult made up by a child molesting pervert

Preachers do not say gays are evil, they say gays are violating the teachings of the bible. There is a big difference.

        • Seishin

then congrats you just proved my point that christianity is a hateful group. grouping all muslims into one category.

          • Mary Brown

Show me what islam has contributed to civilization in the last 1,000 years besides death and destruction.

          • Seishin

nothing the christians haven’t done as well.

          • Mary Brown

Christians have cured diseases, helped orphaned children, many scientists are Christians and have helped advance technology, Christians build hospitals world wide…

Christians are not: hacking peoples heads off because of some perceived insult to a child molester that died a long time ago. Not wiping entire cities off the map in any civilized countries. Have not killed millions in the last 25 years in the name of a false prophet.

You cannot blame the wars we are embroiled in as started by Christians, they were started by greedy bankers looking to make a buck selling arms AKA someone who is NOT Christian in any way. Sure some of our military are Christians but they are doing their jobs, to not do them would land them in prison unless they are some scumbag deserter who defected to the muslims.

          • Seishin

oh the child molester argument how i love that one. sorry to burst your bubble but by today’s standards everyone in that time was a child molester so congrats that’s a moot point. and uhhh yeah yeah christians have done all these bad things too. just bc you don’t see as many doing it today does not mean they haven’t done it at all and don’t pull the bullshit no true scotsmen argument. it’s a fallacy that will fail everytime. so yes yes i can blame any war for a holy cause or anyone that has caused a war claiming to be christian on such people. and i still congratulate you for showing how hateful christianity can really be. just proving my point even more wanting to ignore the bad things christians do and just focus on the good. malala yasoufzai is a perfect example of why you are just one hateful person all based on christianity.

          • Mary Brown

Muslims ARE STILL child molesters, take slaves, abuse women, kill anyone that is non-muslim if they get the chance, are supposed to lie to non muslims if it advances islam.

NO you don’t get the point CHRISTIANS HAVE NOT DONE ANY OF THESE THINGS IN RECENT HISTORY BUT MUSLIMS HAVE AND ARE STILL DOING THEM

You are doing the typical blame ancient Christianity for the same things muslims are still doing. Plus you are claiming someone who starts a war for monetary gain is Christian when in fact they are not because that violates the teachings of the bible.

You are naming one muslim that stood up to the Taliban, ONE. Out of what? 1.5 billion?

          • Seishin

sorry no true scotsman argument doesn’t work. so you admit you are a hateful christian person and glad to generalize an entire group of people? well then i guess it’s ok for these people to be just as hateful. thank you for proving that.

          • Mary Brown

Until they denounce what muslims are doing in the name of a fake prophet yes. Because until they do so they are saying it is okay to behead non muslims, to behead Christian women and children, to commit ATROCITIES that no civilized person would be doing, to live in the 7th century and refuse to advance and join CIVILIZED people of the world.

          • Seishin

you mean like your fake prophet of jesus and you being hateful to muslims? well then i guess hate materials do have reasons to be in school. bc you’re showing how hateful christians are right now so i guess that the bible must be a hateful material

          • Mary Brown

Jesus is not a fake prophet. Jesus did not preach hate, Jesus did not tell Christians to go out and kill all non-Christians, Jesus did not tell Christians to go out and lie in order to advance Christianity…

I suggest you actually read the Koran and the Bible, the Koran is loaded with examples I just quoted. The Bible is not. The Bible does not preach hate and the Koran does.

          • Seishin

lol they both preach hate at some points in both books. don’t try to ignore the bad quotes in the bible. preachers and parents and things all throughout your life may have the wool over your eyes about how great and loving and caring the bible is but there are hateful quotes in them as well. it’s why so many christians in history did do bad things like the spanish inquisition or the salem witch trials. hell even westboro practically follows the hate quotes in the bible and i wouldn’t be surprised if those people and others actually did kill people if it were legal to do so.

          • Mary Brown

I have read the Bible, the Old Testament laws are over ridden by the new and the new is NOT in any way violent.

And seeing you have a brand new profile, zero followers, your pattern of attack that follows the obama bot play book to a T I would have to say you are one of obama’s paid shills.

          • Seishin

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! oh oh oh HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! “this person is against me there for he must be one of dose obuma supporters” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! oh how naive you are. while i don’t think he’s as bad as some people make him out to be i also don’t think he’s the greatest thing ever like other people make him out to be. don’t try to tell me who i’m for and who i’m not. that’s a no no. and really you make judgements on a new profile and followers? please get over yourself. those don’t mean anything.

          • DontLikeWimps

You are such a hateful ignorant person… Your life must be very sad

          • Mary Brown

Those mean a lot, along with the tactics of name calling, changing the topic, trying to disrupt the discussion, all hallmarks of obama’s paid trolls

          • Seishin

except i haven’t changed the topic. it’s still all under the same topic. you labeled people as hateful and want to ban so called “hateful things” while being hateful yourself. that’s called being a hypocrite. if you wish to ban such things like satanist coloring books or anything from other religions or non religions then i get to ban the bible from the school. sorry but that’s how it works.

          • Seishin

let me make something simple for you. you want to be hateful then others get to be hateful right back at you. you don’t know the reasons people don’t speak out so you have no business judging people for not doing so you hateful christian lady have no reason or business complaining about other people being hateful while acting like this.

          • DontLikeWimps

She isn’t being hateful in the least …you are the one bashing her. You have anger and mental issues…that’s for sure!!

          • Seishin

when you are grouping everyone under one category that’s being hateful so don’t give me the bullshit that she isn’t hateful. oh but i forget you’re the same as her so of course you don’t lie to hear the truth on what you’re being. and before you try to point fingers back at me……yes yes i am being hateful too but unlike you who is afraid to admit to being so and then complains about others doing it back at you i don’t complain about it.

          • Mary Brown

I have every right to keep EVIL out of our childrens class room!

          • Seishin

good then i have a right to keep the bible out of children’s classroom bc after all that’s evil too as someone like you has proven.

          • DontLikeWimps

And you should go live with the Muslims….I’m sure they would just love you!!!

          • Seishin

well considering i have friends in egypt who are muslim i’m sure they would love me bc unlike you i don’t label them all under the same umbrella and try to avoid them like some plague. doing so just makes you look stupid and ignorant.

          • DontLikeWimps

I don’t see Christians going around beheading people these days only Muslims….why don’t you go to Iraq and see if you can be their little buddy???!!!

          • DontLikeWimps

You Are a total lunatic and need help!!!!

      • DontLikeWimps

Are you totally nuts? Muslim have been threatening to kill Americans and Christians and have been beheading people…has everyone lost their minds? Freaking nut jobs!!!

    • John Mark IB

Dear Mary, you’re spot on and great arguments just beware sometimes they only like to argue for arguments sake and you and I both know that The LORD has written His Law on man’s hearts only some have most actually as Jesus says few that find and narrow is the way/gate etc., MT 7, but their hearts are hardened and they only see dark and love darkness why? because their deeds were evil, this is why when they argue they say things like oh we don’t need your deity for this morality etc., ha ha as if it’s something that just happened voila! out of nowhere from the imaginary Darwinian processes if you give them enough time plus chance plus random processes then man just look they can produce life from goo to you via the zoo! ha ha but I prefer not to debate with them just post my own humble opinions hopefully based on sound Scriptural principles and His Word, I commend you!! and with all due respect! 🙂 it’s amazing that a godly woman is schooling and defending the faith!!( awesome no offense just trying to be Biblical) and am actually thankful that you do though because they need people like yourself haha good godly women to slap them out of their slumber, time is short let’s give them the truth and the hope may GOD bless you with love joy and peace in Jesus name amen have a super blessed day and lovely week, I guess I should apologize for my longwinded opinions, 🙂 I’m kind of new to this disqus stuff so don’t know much about the like button or following, I only want to follow Christ and Him alone, so no offense if I’m not exactly sure if not following on disqus is god or bad ha ha I’m slow sorry 🙂 thanks for your stand!! LORD bless you !!

    • BarkingDawg

both or none. It’s what the whole idea of religious freedom is about.

  • Amin Ohappo

I don’t think banning satanist books or other demon inspired material is right. I think the freedom of speech includes everything from muhammed cartoons to mocking Jesus Christ. I think teaching your kids in clear words why someone would want to worship satan/baphomet/lucifer or any variation of the same demon prince is the appropriate way. If your kid after that still wants to believe luciferian malarkey / listen to katy perry / support the nwo / believe in evolution etc. baloney – it’s their own stupidity and you have done your job. Hiding facts facts from your kids will cause them to never grow up. Logical, objective, sensible and mentally sane humans will notice that words of Jesus will never fail – they are the ultimate truth.

EDIT. wanted to add one more thing: Trust Jesus, spread his message. That’s all you need to do!

    • BarkingDawg

Just one thing, Your kid’s going to have to know all about evolution if they want to study any of the biology sciences, become a doctor, etc.

      • Amin Ohappo

that’s their choice but running after money is not something learned at our place

    BE GONE SATAN !

    • BarkingDawg

You either allow the coloring books, or no bibles.

that’s what religious freedom is all about.

tolerance for others and their beliefs.
