UK Supreme Court Rules ‘Named Person’ Scheme Assigning Guardians to Children Unlawful

Supreme Court-compressed(The Christian Insitute) The Supreme Court has vindicated a judicial review of the Scottish Government’s controversial Named Person scheme, ruling the plans unlawful.

In a historic decision the five judges, including two from Scotland, unanimously struck down the central provisions of the scheme this morning.

Under the proposals, from 31 August every child in Scotland was to be assigned a state guardian to monitor their ‘wellbeing’ – defined as “happiness.”

    In the name of protecting children, good families are destroyed by dysfunctional functionaries, even without this crazy law. Surely it would be far simpler to have a lottery in which families are selected at random by the state, and state agents are sent to cut off their heads (as an example to others)?
