Audio Scripture Ministries recently distributed 500 audio Bibles in rural villages in Mozambique, Africa.
The official language of Mozambique is Sena, and while the majority can speak the language, only 40% of the population is literate. Therefore, its people are also unable to read the Holy Scriptures, which makes evangelism very difficult — that is, until now.
Audio Scripture Ministries focuses on reaching the illiterate by distributing recorded copies of the word of God, which are recorded in local studios built by the ministry and uploaded onto special audio devices. The Mozambique studio, which is located in Xai-Xai, is set for dedication in September 2012.
