A mother told by doctors she should have an abortion because her unborn son had his heart in the wrong place is celebrating after finally being allowed to take him home.

Jade Clarke has been able to take little Riley out of hospital after ignoring doctors who told her he had “no chance” of survival. Riley was born with his heart on the wrong side of his body, disconnected valves, and twisted bowels — and Jade was assigned a bereavement midwife.

But after more than a year of medics battling to save Riley, the 17-month-old tot has finally left hospital for good — and has gone home to live with Jade and dad Rikki.
