Attorney for Judge Roy Moore Exhorts Alabama Officials: ‘You Cannot Serve Two Masters’

JohnsonMONTGOMERY, Ala. — An attorney who works for Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore has penned a letter to government officials throughout the state, urging them to take a stand for Christ in light last week’s Supreme Court ruling declaring that same-sex “marriage” must be legalized in all 50 states.

“Public officials are ministers of God assigned the duty of punishing the wicked and protecting the righteous,” Win Johnson wrote in a letter sent to Gov. Robert Bentley and other civil magistrates.

“If the public officials decide to officially approve of the acts of the wicked, they must logically not protect the righteous from the wicked. In fact, they must become protectors of the wicked,” he said. “You cannot serve two masters; you must pick—God or Satan.”

He then spoke specifically of the matter of homosexuality, stating that the government can never legalize what God has called unlawful.

“The U.S. Supreme Court, although it claims to have done so in 2003, cannot take something that God calls a crime (sodomy) and declare it not a crime,” Johnson said. “We’re facing something even worse now, the civil government taking a new step and actually requiring the approval and sanctifying by the state of an evil behavior.”

“Public official, what will you do?” he asked. “Will you stand up for the law of Alabama, for the people, for the weak and vulnerable, for the law of God? Or will you capitulate? Will you become complicit in the takeover by the wicked?”

Johnson then sought to dismantle common excuses for capitulation.

“‘I must follow the law,’ you say. Law? What law? There is no law anymore, there’s just opinion,” he wrote. “One day this, one day that. When the law becomes merely the opinion of a handful of people on the courts, there is no longer any law. There is tyranny. There is chaos. But there is no law.”

“Don’t use the Nazi war-crimes trial defense: ‘My superiors (or the courts) told me to do it.’ You’re not standing for the rule of law when you capitulate to a law that defies God and exposes people to the wicked,” Johnson continued. “You’re just a coward making excuses!”

He urged those in authority not to cower or run from their positions, but to stand for the sake of Christ and future generations.

“[W]ill your conscience cause you to resign?” Johnson asked. “Why would you leave the people of this State, their children, your children and grandchildren to the wolves, those who would rend the society apart with their denial of what’s good and evil?”

He concluded by urging officials to remember the Highest Judge to which they will have to give an eternal account.

“On Judgment Day, you won’t stand in front of the media, the advocates of ‘equality,’ or even the federal courts,” Johnson warned. “You’ll stand before the King of Kings, the Judge and Ruler over the Kings of the Earth, Jesus Christ. His law is not subject to the vote of man, and He, as the good and loving author of that law, does not exempt any nation from it.”

People plot to kill Americans and accomplish their goal every time they walk into an abortion clinic, yet the government supports them and funds them. The pagan Muslims kill for a demon prince. Americans kill babies in the womb for convenience and their personal ‘freedom’.

you are absolutely right, the hypocrisy is evident but you won’t read about those murders of innocent babies in the media except when the media speaks up about a woman’s right to her own body, the moral thing where abortion is concerned is that the word of God says to love others and that includes the unborn. There is so much hypocrisy going on, it would take books to write about it all.

I think our youth are fascinated by ISIS’s reputation of get rich quick take what you want. Rape and pillage conquest of adventure, a fantasy that is fixated in their minds not realizing the danger of their deceptive excitement cloaked by mystic tells, of exploits of ISIS. After all it’s not the first time certain Military organizations in man’s history have tried these types of conquest. For instance not so recent but the Japanese in Manchuria China, in the 1930s the Nazis 1940s wanted to rule the world Genghis Khan the Vikings even earlier than that, just to name a few. There have been many barbaric regimes since then, I don’t see the need to publish them, thanks to Hollywood they are immortalized and Glorified but movies and video games stimulate and produce only so much adrenaline their need to speed the process up has deceived them. The authoritative figures in charge (the parents) in this day and age are reminisce of what our Scientist claim about our ozone. Designed to filter out and control harmful rays of the sun from creating major damage to the earth, it’s depleting or insufficient in some cases there’s no protection at all. In my case my pop use to say as he was removing his belt. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. My mom’s approach was a little different off to Sunday school we went like it or not. How do we fix it? I think it lie’s somewhere between Mom and Pop

      “Our youth”?

Congrats, you’re out Over-Generalization Champ this week.

If I said “your local church supports same-sex marriage”, how much evidence would you require before your hair caught on fire?

Proof of 75% support? 65%? Surely 51%, a simple majority.
But would you concede the point if I could only find 5% or 10%? (And with 60% of Americans in favor of SSM, chances are I could find 10% in the most conservative congregation.)

So to be fair to “our youth”, what percentage do you believe you could find who are fascinated by rape and pillage? What percentage would be legit in order to paint an entire generation with that awful label, as you just did?

Here, try this: there are about 85,000 police-recorded rapes annually in the US. Assuming those ALL are committed by “our youth”, and assuming about 50 Million of “our youth”, the incidence of rape is .0017.

So the other 50.9983% of the majority aren’t being reported?

This matters, because over-generalizing about gigantic groups of people is a terrible trend. The same tendency created the Charleston shooter. When everything is “Us against Them”, and “Them” are absolutely everybody outside your group, we’ve reverted to caveman defense mechanisms and ignored statistical analysis and critical thinking.

So which of the Ten Commandments must legislators and judges enforce? Not having any god but Yehovah? I thought he permits people to worship whatever they want? Using Yehovah’s name irreverently? I’m sure he doesn’t even know that God has a name (Yehovah)! No graven images? Then no freedom of religion for Catholics. Sabbath observance (Friday evening to Saturday evening)? I’m sure he goes to Church on Sunday and golfs on Saturday. Thou shalt not kill? He’s a soldier – I’m sure he’s either a killer or prepared to be one. No, the ones Teapubs care about are these commands: No abortion and no gays. And blacks on the back of the bus.
