The barbaric Islamic group ISIS, which identifies itself as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, released a video on Saturday that threatened an attack on the Western world worse than 9/11 and last year’s Paris attacks out of revenge for Spaniards crushing Muslim rule in ancient Andalusia 500 years ago.

The video, believed to have been filmed in Nineveh, shows a masked Frenchman standing in the rubble of a building impacted by a military strike. He threatens to unleash such violence on Westerners that will “make them forget September 11 and Paris” and “turn the children’s hair to white.”

The jihadist states that Spain will be a target in the assault.

Muslims had ruled in Spain for a time until they were chased out by Roman Catholic armies during the Spanish Inquisition. Many Spanish Jews who refused to convert to Roman Catholicism were expelled as well.

“[King] Ferdinand and  [Queen] Isabella issued an edict on March 31, 1492, giving Spanish Jews the choice of exile or baptism; as a result, more than 160,000 Jews were expelled from Spain,” the Encyclopedia Britannica outlines.

In 1502, Cardinal Jimenez de Cisneros issued an order to rid Granada of Islamic rule, which is stated to be the last Muslim territory to fall in Spain.

“Muslims in Valencia and Aragon were subjected to forced conversion in 1526, and Islam was subsequently banned in Spain,” Britannica notes.

Because of this, ISIS threatens in the video that Spain will “pay dearly” for its actions 500 years ago, contending that Andalusia is Muslim.

The long-haired masked gunman also characterizes the U.S.-led coalition against the Islamic State as “imbecile miscreants” who will not be able to defeat the terrorist organization.

The eight-minute propaganda production ends with the execution of five prisoners who are shot in the head by ISIS fighters. The men are dressed in orange jumpsuits and forced to kneel in the rubble.

As previously reported, during his recent State of the Union address, Barack Obama said that ISIS “does not threaten our national existence,” and rebuffed notions that the terror group was ushering in third world war.

“But as we focus on destroying ISIL, over-the-top claims that this is World War III just play into their hands,” he stated. “Masses of fighters on the back of pickup trucks and twisted souls plotting in apartments or garages pose an enormous danger to civilians and must be stopped. But they do not threaten our national existence. That’s the story ISIL wants to tell; that’s the kind of propaganda they use to recruit.”

“For more than a year, America has led a coalition of more than 60 countries to cut off ISIL’s financing, disrupt their plots, stop the flow of terrorist fighters, and stamp out their vicious ideology,” Obama continued. “With nearly 10,000 air strikes, we are taking out their leadership, their oil, their training camps, and their weapons. We are training, arming, and supporting forces who are steadily reclaiming territory in Iraq and Syria.”
