Dutch Woman Allowed Assisted Suicide After Arguing Mental Illness Gave Her a ‘Rotten Life’

(The Christian Institute) A disturbing case of a 29-year-old woman being euthanized in the Netherlands has led to politicians speaking out against changing the law in the UK.

Aurelia Brouwers was killed by a lethal injection last month after arguing that she was “entitled to a dignified death” because of her “rotten life.”

Brouwers maintained an online blog about her experiences of suffering from depression and a borderline personality disorder.

Lord Carlile of Berriew of campaign group Living and Dying Well said he was “horrified” at the death.

    Life is difficult but we carry on such as caring for someone who has several health issues that ends with her having frequent trips to the hospital. It is also depressing for me but God does not promise a smooth ride.

      Are you suggesting they want to kill people for the heck of it? I’m not sure what you’re suggesting. I can only tell you that when I reach a point in my life where there is no quality of life at all and I’m suffering pain needlessly, I would welcome an assisted death.
