Highland Schools ‘Increasingly Hostile’ to Christians

(The Christian Institute) Children across the Highlands are being bullied in schools for their religious beliefs, an MSP has revealed.

Kate Forbes, who represents Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch, said she was recently approached by families in her constituency about the matter.

They told her there was a lack of understanding about the diversity of religion in Scotland, which can often result in “a lack of tolerance or mockery of religious practices.”

It’s so perplexing how these once Christian dominant power houses are now attacking Christianity. It’s just so confusing.

These things travel in waves. Now they are falling away big time and have been for decades in Europe. Either way, Jesus said we will be persecuted and that takes on many forms in the world. Those who love Jesus will stand strong and endure till the end through it all.

      • Yes, but that applies to virtually all religions. Exclusive religion is, without a doubt in my mind, the greatest hindrance to human sisterhood/brotherhood on the face of the Earth. It is no more right for Christians to be bullied than it is for Christians to bully others.

The simple answer is that they have allowed leaven (hypocrisy) in and the whole lump is now leavened. Jesus warned of this, He told the apostles (who became the first elders of the church), beware of the leaven of the Pharisees. Then He went on to define the “leaven” as “hypocrisy”. The greek word “hypocrisy” means a play actor. Jesus was calling out a lot of religious leaders in His time, because many were not truly God’s, but were pretending to be His. Wolves in sheep’s clothing. Pretenders. Jesus also went on to warn them, that greater would be their condemnation, even greater than Sodom. They are leading people away from God and not towards them. There is no fear of God in them. Remember, the beginning of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding is the fear of God. They were not in faith (belief), but were disqualified because of their (unbelief). They were ignoring God’s instructions in His Word, and substituting their own, leaven.
