Rep. Who Said ‘You Kill Them Now or Kill Them Later’ Now Insults ‘Retarded’ Trump Jr. as ‘Best Defense’ for Abortion

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Democratic Alabama lawmaker who generated outrage over his “you kill them now or kill them later” abortion remarks has now stated that Donald Trump Jr., who opposed his comments, is “retarded” and is the “best defense” he has in favor of abortion.

Trump Jr. had tweeted his objection on May 1 to the argument made by Rep. John Rogers, D-Birmingham, on the Alabama House floor, in which he stated in defending the “right” to an abortion, “Some kids are unwanted. So, you kill them now or kill them later. You bring them in the world unwanted, unloved, you send them to the electric chair. So, you kill them now or kill them later.”

Rogers later explained that his statement referred to Alabama killing residents via the lack of healthcare, the requirement to be tested for drugs in order to receive food stamps, and with poor prison conditions. Therefore, “what’s the difference?”

“This is stomach curling and makes Ralph Northam look like a moderate on abortion,” Trump Jr. wrote. “Every Democrat running for president needs to be asked where they stand on this. The extreme turn we’ve seen from Dems on abortion recently is truly sickening.”

When asked about the condemnation of his remarks, Rogers blasted the president’s son and called the criticism “an honor.”

“Thank God. Right on,” he stated. “That lets me know I’m right, ’cause I don’t know nothing he’s been right on since he’s been here.”

“That proves it’s right to make a scene about abortion, him being born,” Rogers continued. “That’s a very, very good defense I have for abortion right there — him. Look at him. Why didn’t you abort him when he was born, or he wouldn’t have made that stupid statement, right? So, his parents made a decision for him.”

He then proceeded to claim that Trump Jr. has mental issues and is the “best defense” as to why a mother should have a choice.

“So, that’s the first proof I got that a mother ought to have a right to have an abortion or not. They made a decision to have him, didn’t they? They could have aborted him, but they made a decision to keep him. ‘Cause he’s evidently retarded or crazy,” Rogers said.

“I know there’s something wrong with that boy. … That’s the best defense I got for abortion, looking at him.”

Andrew Surabian, a spokesman for Trump Jr., told The Washington Times that he found Rogers’ ongoing remarks to be “vile.”

“Sadly, vile comments like this have become par for the course for the Democrat Party,” he said in a statement. “They’ve become so deranged … that celebrating late-term abortion, support for eugenics and even calling for the death of political opponents is becoming their standard operating procedure. I hope every elected Democrat in the country has the common decency and moral courage to disavow these types of grotesque statements from members of their party.”

According to AL.com, Democratic U.S. Sen. Doug Jones, who similarly supports abortion “rights,” has been among those to condemn Rogers’ remarks.

“The rhetoric of Rep. John Rogers gets more appalling each time he speaks,” he tweeted. “He does not speak for the people of Alabama and is in fact offending all Alabamians with his crude and reprehensible comments.”

Jesus said in Luke 6:43-45 that the words men speak emanate from the heart and are indicators of whether or not a man has been regenerated by the Spirit of God (John 3:3).

“For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit, neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit, for every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good, and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil,” He explained, “for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”
