EAST PRICE HILL, Ohio (WKRC) — Cincinnati Christian University students are heartbroken Monday night. They heard rumors about their school shutting down but were hopeful they could at least finish out this academic year.

“People were bawling their eyes out. People were out — like they were in the cafeteria and they just left because they couldn’t eat,” said Duncan Hoffman, a CCU sophomore.

CCU students learned via an email letter Monday that in a few weeks when they pack up for winter break, they will not be coming back to campus. …

In the letter, CCU explains the university will no longer offer accredited degree programs.
