‘You Cannot Stop Me’: Televangelist Creflo Dollar Defies Opponents in Effort to Buy $65 Million Jet

DollarCOLLEGE PARK, Ga. — Televangelist Creflo Dollar defied opponents of his global effort to purchase a $65 million dollar jet in a recent message delivered to his congregation.

“Let me tell you something about believing God. I can dream as long as I want to. I can believe God as long as I want to,” he states in a video posted to YouTube by a group not affiliated with Dollar. “If I want to believe God for a $65 million plane, you cannot stop me. You cannot stop me from dreaming.”

As previously reported, staff World Changers Church International in College Park, Ga. had posted an online plead on the organization’s website last month as Dollar asked for 200,000 people to donate $300 dollars each so that he could purchase a new G650 airplane.

Dollar explained that his current 1984 jet, which he purchased in 1999, experienced engine failure in London on a recent trip to Australia. He said that the plane is grounded and is in need of being replaced.

“The plane is not so Creflo Dollar can get on by himself and fly,” public relations representative Juda Engelmayer told the Christian Post. “They take a ministry team of 10 to 15 people with them. They take thousands of pounds of food and provisions with them when they go around the world. If he’s coming to the New York church, he’ll hop on a Delta flight. If he’s taking 12 people plus 100,000 pounds of food, it’s not that simple.”

But as word broke about the project, some still expressed dismay as to why Dollar, who leads a 30,000-member megachurch and lives in a million dollar home, needs such an expensive aircraft, which is reportedly sought out by billionaires. David Graham, Global Express aircraft captain with Advanced Air Management, told the publication that Engelmayer’s claims don’t add up.

“[The aircraft] cannot carry 12 people and 100,000 pounds of food and supplies,” he said.

Dollar’s staff removed the online plea from the World Changers website following negative public reaction and said that the televangelist would be flying commercial while the campaign was being reassessed. However, in a recent message delivered to his congregation, Dollar appeared determined to purchase the jet despite opposition.

“You cannot stop me from dreaming. I’m going to dream until Jesus comes,” he said as his congregation stood to their feet and broke out into cheers. “And here’s another thing I want you to understand: … If they discover life on Mars—if you think a $65 million plane was too much—if they discover that there’s life on Mars, they’re going to need to hear the gospel and I’m going have to believe God for a billion dollar space shuttle because we got to preach the gospel on Mars.”

Dollar urged those gathered to likewise “dream big.”

“I dare you to tell me I can’t dream. I dare you to tell me that I can’t believe God,” he said. “Dream on, baby. Don’t dream on what you can have, dream about what the devil says you can’t have. Dream for the best. Dream for the best healing. Dream for the best deliverance. Dream for the best house. Dream for the best car. Just ’cause the world don’t have it, doesn’t mean you can’t have it.”

Dollar, who has drawn criticism for years over his prosperity preaching and video clips showing the televangelist dancing in tithes with “money cometh” preacher Leroy Thompson, told his congregation that he believes God is on his side and that the effort is therefore unstoppable.

“You cannot stop and you cannot curse what God has blessed,” he asserted. “Half the people that are commenting on the Internet don’t even know me. They don’t know this ministry. They don’t know what we do. That’s why they ask the question, ‘What does a preacher need with an airplane?’ If you knew what we did then you wouldn’t ask that question. But you don’t know what we do.”

“The early Church was married to poverty, prisons and persecutions. Today, the Church is married to prosperity, personality and popularity,” the late preacher Leonard Ravenhill once stated.

Faith is real. Faith always manifests what God has promised in His Word. Don’t let the Devil, who uses people to selfishly and falsely use Faith teachings for their personal benefit and the promotion of fake Christianity, rob you from the Truth about Faith taught by the Word of God, Jesus Christ.

bah ha ha ha…He has been lying for years, he has the straight face perfected.

    • Mary Lyons

Creflo is plain delusional. He has lost sight of the true Gospel. I can’t understand why anyone would go to these type churches in the first place.

      • Josey

it’s a feel good religion, no repenting or changing of how one behaves, just a false gospel that runs over anyone to get what they want. I have been to a few of these services as a babe in Christ before I knew any better. They are rude and have the attitude of “get out of my way!” They don’t have the servant attitude that Jesus had and wants us to have where we put others first. I once attended a dinner afterwards and was standing in the food line and I accidentally stepped on a ladies toe because we were so close together and I apologized and if looks could have killed I’d be dead, that is their attitude. I never attended another one of those, it is a me first gospel. I would advise for any one seeking God’s righteousness to run away from these teaching and these kind of people as fast as you can, just so happened when I learned my lesson I was a babe in Christ and innocently thought anyone who claimed to be a Christian would be forgiving, loving and have the fruit of the Spirit, I got hurt a lot but God has turned all that into a love for new born babes in Christ. Woe to those Jesus said who offend one of His little ones and cause then to stumble and sin, it would be better for a millstone to be hung around their neck and they be thrown into the midst of the sea than when they face Father God on judgement day.

Televangelists: God’s way of keeping stupid people poor.

  • D Sims

I agree that many including Creflo do receive some false accusations in this world, but when he started in on how he is going to dream no matter what anyone says and no one is going to stop him then that self preservation of arrogance just smacks in the face of God, Christ, the Apostles and even John the Baptist who humbly stated, I must decrease. I immediately think of Johns words in Rev 3:17, ” For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.”

  • Too many people are pointing the finger at Creflo Dollar and not his congregation. The fact is that they are worse than he is, because they are paying him for services rendered.

    • Mary Lyons

But, he is the one preaching and teaching the prosperity “gospel.” Creflo is the one that will be held accountable for preaching/teaching this demonic junk.

      Creflo plans, God laughs!!

      • Royal Rican Prince

        Actually The Lord weeps.

        • Mary Lyons

It is a Yiddish proverb that points to the foolishness of man telling God his plans, just as Creflo is doing. God no more told Creflo he needed a jet plan than the man in the moon. Hence, Creflo plans, God laughs. God doesn’t weep at his foolishness, God laughs.

          • Royal Rican Prince

What I was attempting to say is The Lord weeps at his deception.

    • Josey

as the Bible says some love having their ears tickled, they are getting their reward here now, they are all accountable individually before God but the false prophets will be judged more harshly on that day, I believe.

  • Koffa0319

No worries! God will, at the right time, possibly sooner than you think.

  • LeftCoast

Pastor C, you keep dreaming. You will end up with a crop duster.

  • Machiavellian

I hope people aren’t stupid enough to give a penny to that man.

There are many children dying of hunger around the world that those $65 million dollars could be of great help to them.

No need to buy such an expensive jet to transport food and people. There are other ways.

    • Michael Brooks

Oh they are stupid enough. Never underestimate the power of stupid. Across town, in another “mega-church” – New Life – their pastor was molesting boys at his church’s summer camp, did the church remove him? No. They supported him and attacked the boy who brought the charges. Then they paid the boy’s family off to keep their “pastor” out of jail. These people care only about appearance/style – never substance.

  • Nicola Lovesjohanreb Clark

    What a shame!

  • Michael Brooks

This man is the product of the modern lawless church. He is the natural outcome when you teach that the rules no longer apply to you.

  • Gael Tino

Seriously? How stupid does their publicity department think people are? A private jet CAN NOT carry enough “supplies” to be worth the fuel it guzzles up! A private jet isn’t made for carrying “supplies”…Thousands of pounds of food etc?
These FALSE “teachers” are simply God’s punishment upon the greedy goats pretending to be “christisns”…

  • bowie1

It’s not us he should be worried about. It is God who could take it all away if He so chose.

    • mobs

      So true.

    • Josey

God will allow delusional thinking and lying spirits speak through them if that is what a person seeks and wants and as long as these people are throwing money at this man in the hopes that blessings will come their way too, it will continue till judgement day. Pray these that truly seek God and His righteousness especially the babes in Christ who don’t yet know any better and don’t know these false minsters are cunning and take scripture out of context making it sound good, pray they will be filled with God’s words of truth found in the Bible only and in context and see that this is wrong and they will flee these doctrines of devils and we use the authority given us by Jesus to bind those lying spirits so they can’t speak or make sense even to the babes. Soon he will have nothing, we didn’t bring anything into this world and he isn’t going to take it with him when his number is up.

  • mobs

If this is truly what God wants for his ministry he will receive it with no problems. It must be used for the glory of the Lord. Not for glory of self.

    • Josey

true only he has declared on more than one occasion that God wants him to have the best of everything like a king while on this earth although he’s not getting his wealth from God but from begging from people to send it to him, but he should explain why lazarus who begged at the gate of the rich man of his day for just a morsel of bread and yet lazarus died and was in Abrahams bosom safe and free from the burdens of his poor life on earth and where was the rich man, he was burning in hell for while on earth he had everything but of course Creflo will leave that part of God’s word out cause it doesn’t fit his false doctrine. God isn’t a respector of persons and didn’t love poor Lazarus any less than anyone else yet he didn’t have riches while on earth and yet in the end after Lazarus passed on He was found in paradise safe and sound, no more pain or suffering. I’m not by any means saying God won’t give men and women wealth but I guarantee those who he gives it to don’t hold it higher than God and they use it for His glory, not many can be trusted imo with wealth for it has a way of leading one away from God because of selfishness and greed. One should be content with such things as they have today. Not one of us are perfect in this attitude i am sure but as children of God we can strive and thank Him for meeting our needs today w/out taking thought for tomorrow. Some churches care about what a person is wearing and judging the person on the outside instead of what really matters, what is inside, to me it is to their own loss for many have been turned away because they didn’t have fancy clothes or the best car, etc. and they missed the spiritual blessings which is far more important than any earthly goods by looking down at their noses those who had less in the appearance dept. Anyway, I’ve spent more time commenting on this than I planned and have to stop, it’s just a subject dear to my heart as I was once caught up as a babe in Christ in these deceptions. I can thank God for keeping me regardless through it all and there is hope for others caught into the same snare…Hallelujah!

  • Andrzej

If he believe that God will financed that jet, why he is asking 200000 people to give $300 each ?

    • Sanyobabe

You got that right? I guess his faith has weakened somewhat:)

  • Amanda Richards

This has put me off Creflo Dollar. He’s just been added to a list of televangelists I won’t even entertain by leaving the TV on while I’m busy elsewhere in the house.
What I read he said isn’t a man acting out in faith, it’s the statement of a spoilt child who’s determined to get what they want and to hell with any critics.

  • Josey

In his recent video, there is a arrogant spirit coming from his mouth, by all means go ahead and keep dreaming for a 65 million dollar jet and he talks about if life is found on Mars then he will be needing a space shuttle to get there to preach the gospel. But what gospel is he preaching, Christ righteousness that one must be born again through the Holy Spirit and repentance of sin and how to live a holy life unto God as declared throughout scripture or is he preaching a gospel where he should have the best this world has to offer?

There is a problem of putting self before others in this man’s thinking instead of following Christ’s example of loving others and he is teaching other’s to be self seeking as well. I have sat in services like these and they would run over you to get what they want. I wonder how well they would have treated someone like John the Baptist (a man Jesus declared that no greater man was ever born among women than he) and yet he didn’t wear a fancy 3 piece suit, John the Baptist ate honey and locust and wore clothes that they would have shunned him as a madman and as someone they wouldn’t want around or in their church because they’d consider him to be negative and would be afraid his negativity (which is really truth) to rub off on them, John’s preaching would have gotten in the way of their dreams of having more money or the best of everything. I am grieved to my heart that their focus is on money and having the best things this world offers, not on righteous living as Jesus taught. Matthew 6:19-21 19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. And skip down to vs25-34 25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 BUT SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS; AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU. If you are seeking Christ’s righteousness these temporal things will be only a means to an end. I guarantee these false ministers have alarms and guards guarding their material things for fear of being robbed and have body guards to protect their lives but the true child of God doesn’t have to fear or worry for the Lord’s angels encamp around those who fear Him, hallelujah, what a joy and freedom to trust only in Jesus and in God’s word!
These so called ministers seeking their own gain and claiming that God wants them to have the best of everything this world has to offer reject any chastisement from God even claiming the discipline comes from the devil rather than God, they steer clear of it and claim they deserve the best of everything, they do not understand or know God or His character and they teach their selfish and wanton ways to thousands of people of like mind and to people who are weak in faith in which I was one of the babes in Christ that heard many such teachings years ago but thank God He saved me out of those errant teachings and is leading me in the way I should go just as God will show those who belong to Him if they be of a willing heart to know God. These false teachers have reaped their reward by being gluttons and taking monies from the gullible but will face Almighty God on judgement day. Hebrews 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Asia Harvest prints Bibles in China for $1.80 per Bible. Perhaps one of the greatest revivals in history is taking place as I write? There are an estimated 35,000 people a day who come to Christ. There are an estimated 80-120 Million Believers in a country of 1.3 Billion. It is estimated that perhaps anywhere from 3-10 people come to Christ for every Bible delivered. They will rip a page out and share it as well as copy it. There is without saying a huge “Bible Deficient”, and dream how many Bibles could be delivered with 65 Million Dollars!!!!! Even So Come Lord Jesus

$65 mill- is he crazy?! He is a false prophet.
I mean, while there is nothing wrong with being rich, the Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil. It is only God that is the owner of wealth.

“In vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrine the commandments of men.”
“Unless the Lord shall build the house [or provide the plane] the weary builder toils in vain.”
Truth is I am tired of these mega church ministers using God as the Trojan horse for what is their desire. Christ walked to preach the truth. There is technology that will allow anyone to reach all over the globe without even leaving his million dollar+ house. The sad thing is, the practice of covert cognitive dissonance (an unsavory psychological tactic used by many a “pastor”) will likely cause these people who follow man not God, to reach down into their purses and give him enough money to buy this airborne Rolls Royce…then tell each other that God did it. God allows things to happen and sooner or later they will realize they’ve been hoodwinked one more time. Again I ask: Where’s the fruit of Creflo’s ministry? How is the local community faring under his watch? Has he reinstated any of the community programs he dismantled? Yeah.

  • If Creflo Dollar wants to get the Martians saved, he can do it without my help. His arrogance is just beyond ridiculous. The prosperity or Word of Faith gospel of Dollar, T.D. Jakes, Joel Osteen and their associates is a false doctrine not supported by the Bible except when it’s deliberately taken out of context. Sending ministry supplies via UPS, FedEx or a commercial airline is much less expensive and just as fast as a private jet, but I digress.

  • katherine

I didn’t know that you couldn’task God for anything, I guess I better stop asking him cause you people might get mad if He gives it too me. God says you have not because you ask not, and those that do ask if you haven’t gotten it yet it’s because he thinks you are not ready for it or you just don’t really believe He’ll give it too you. OK God and his Son Jesus Christ are the only ones that are good so He preach the word of God which is JESUS the holy spirit and eternal life, God said go out amongst the people in all four corners of the world feeding the needed the sick and the shut in the prisons and the by-ways and the highways, and if he is gone get it done he needs a jet too get there, what else is he gone do with it let it sit in it’s own lil garage. Please people, y’all need too stop trying too do God’s job and he already knows Mr. Dollar. Lol he see’s everything we do or did you know that. Baaaby believe me when I tell you He’s real and the one called Carma he knows her too. So sit back and relax because if he’s not real God will let it be known the same way He made satan known.

God’s intention of money and tithes brought into the church were to take care of His ministers, their families and to take care of the sheep who have needs, not to make one rich in this world. What a scary thing for these who preach this false prosperity gospel and build kingdoms on this earth to fall into the hands of the Living God. Jesus threw out the money changers in the temple because they made a mockery of God’s commands of how he set up for his people to be cared for and they were vile and greedy like Judas, selling relics and things that have nothing to do with true righteousness. Our kingdom is not of this world, we are only passing through and being used by God for a season and purpose while here, where one’s treasure is there will be his or hers heart also. These false prosperity teachers show clearly that they are building a kingdom on earth which shall perish, don’t partake of their sins. I still see the video of Creflo dancing on the money at the bottom of the pulpit, it was a disgusting sight! His god is money, he can’t get enough.

    Malachi 3:10King James Version (KJV)

10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
