(The Sun) — Videos of women being brutally gang-raped are being sold in parts of India for as little as 12p.
An investigation by Al Jazeera found that sickening clips depicting rape and the sexual abuse of children are being bought in Uttar Pradesh and transmitted to customer’s phones in seconds.
The films, known locally as “rape videos,” cost between 20 and 200 rupees—the equivalent of 12p and £2.49.
The videos are filmed by rapists who blackmail victims with the footage to discourage them from reporting the attack to police.
